Many, many times. I love it there! The other military resort I stayed at was Hale Koa right on Waikiki Beach. A beach view room for $120/night (that was 5 years ago though).
A little bit softer now, a little bit softer now, a little bit louder now, a little bit louder now, hey a hey a!!!
It's a country inn theme - very, very nice. The rooms are huge - bigger than any other standard room at WDW. BTW, I don't think GF is stuffy either, just way over priced! We were there for a wedding a couple of years ago and everyone was very nice.
Is it still Disney-fied or do they tone down the whole theming? I've never really seen any pictures, so I have no idea what it looks like. I guess I should look it up...lol
Can we dance with your dates?
This was in the mid 90's.
I'm surprised you hadn't stayed there when it was the "Disney Inn" years ago, before it became SOG. The rooms are quite large..they used to have a sitting area and two queen beds. We had been to the golf course there once, and they had a warning out for aligators. We left.
They used to have the topiaries of the seven dwarfs back then. Not sure what it's like now..but was very quaint at the time. This was in the mid 90's.
I think it changed to SoG in late 1994. We stayed there in April 1995 (Easter). First trip to WDW in modern times.
...the idea of the monorail was never a consideration for us..
