HELP!!!

I need a giant recap of what happened around here since saturday! We went camping, I get back, there are about 2000 new pages on all these threads, we have been moved, there is a community board, Pete likes manly firemen..... WOW! HELP

You basically summed it up!!! The Camping Community Board has arrived and we can chat away!!!

I am sure that I will leave something out but here is some of what has been happening.

1. Shannone found a bat in her new home
2. We have killer tomatoes
3. The nurses are not doing what they are supposed to when Nicole is not around to help Jim.
4. Bad weather several places
5. Ami was looking for a rubber sock (before you get you mind in the gutter,:lmao: Ami's daughter has stitches on her foot, so Ami needed something that her daughter could but on her foot to go swimming)

Well, that is some of what has been happening. Hope that I helped.

Interesting -- my daughter and her husband are both DPTs.

That is great. More help for the health field! They didn't have DPT's when I went into the field back in the dinosaur days...there is a HUGE shortage in all healthcare areas!!! My DDinlaw is an RN and I'm thrilled she went into the health field...i'm seeing more and more 50-60 aged healthcare professionals and fewer 20-50ish ones:confused3 :worried:

Just to let you guys know, my trip report is up at my place, come on over if you want..... or not!

Yeah, the kids graduated about 5 years ago and had to go back to get the DPT because it wasn't offered when they started! Luckily the school let them do it on weekends and over the net. It doesn't make a bit of difference now, but may some time in the future

Somebody just won a million dollars on the Price is Right. The timer game

I just saw that...they need to rethink that game...they are going to lose more than a million on that one...

I went to Tickfaw State Park today...its such a pretty state park...my main objective for going was to do a little fishing....but I couldnt get the family up till 9am....didnt get on the road till 11am...didnt get there till almost 1pm. Needless to say, A LITTLE FISHING is literally ll I got....didnt even get a nibble. Why dont these people understand what 6am means???

rog, you live in a house of women...if you need to be somewhere at 6am, i am afraid you are going by yo self...

btw- since seeing your fishing pictures you posted, ds has bothered the $%^& of of me to get a fishing pole...bought him a cars' fishin pole last night at wallyworld and now he is trying to cast all over the house...the influence....have you ever seen a 4yrold try to cast a fishin pole...the horror...but we are workin on it

yeah really, you can get fish at the Publix all times of the day, what makes your 6am fish so darn special?

The only time I've ever been able to get my DW and DDs out of the house that early is on a trip to WDW.

Took my two little ones fishing on the river behind my parents house a while back on a weeknight. Tried the ole' teach 'em how to cast routine, stuck a rubber worm on the end of a too-small hook with a big ole bobber sitting just a foot above the hook. You know, the kind of set-up that could hardly snag a tree limb, never mind a fish; just so they could get the hang of how to cast without catching the back of their head. Wouldn't you know my daughter caught a trout with that set-up? First darn cast! I'm over a ways trying to get the little guy set-up and my daughter's complaining that she can't see the bobber any more. I'm figuring it's in the bushes or something. Nope. Snagged herself one of the most hungry and desperate trout that ever lived. 15 years of fishing that river myself with no luck and she catches something on the first cast. :worship:

Now she can't wait to get out there when we go camping. Had me on the lake at 7:00am the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend.

Next trip is off to the beach for 4th of July week - the family will stay at the CG and I'll commute to work each day from there to save precious vacation days for our trip to the Fort in August! WooHoo - 51 days and counting down.

Ah....fishing! I sure miss it! Growing up the youngest of 5 kids with 3 older brothers and a dad who loved all things on the water (fishing, boating, skiing etc)...I sure do miss it! I may be a girly girl, but I do love being on the lake fishing! Check out this pic I found...me around 2-3 years old. Check out our camper...ah, so many good memories! :goodvibes Now that's a "mess o fish"! :goodvibes

here is the trick you start off by saying your leaving at 4am then you compromise at 6am and they think they got to sleep in. Frank does this to me all the time.

AWWW. such cuties, and a classic camper.

Well...not in a house I havent!!! For some reason...ALL my girls were just kinda "naturals"! It took me about a dozen casts or so to teach them how and where to release the thumb button, but once they got that down...they actually aim waay better than me. I started teaching them at 3 or 4...but they were 8 or 9 before they learned to put their own worms on!!!!!
Let CJ throw that rubber fish all over, he'll get it. Wait till he pulls his first real fish in....it'll be on, baby!! Teach em young!! Most of my best and oldest memories of my dad are of us fishing. He took us all the time...always knew these great backwood dirt roads with streams at the end of them.....I never was much good at catching, heck I just caught my first bass at almost 40yrs old!!! But its never stopped me from casting the line in.
