Happy first day of summer!

Jon, glad to hear that the little guys is all set after the tonsel yank. Does he sound like Tom Waits now? A new little "Night Hawks at the Diner" kinda tone?

Rog, I nearly spewed coffee all over the computer after reading your post on the "twin" photo and went back to see what you were talking about re - zipper!:rotfl2:

Jen, hope you're better by now. I work with someone who suffers from migraines and it does not look pleasant. Sooo glad I've never had one. Looks worse than the worst imaginable hangover.

Top o' the Morrrnin' to ye all!!

Dagnabbit!! I get me coffee all ready te go, kiss the DH good-bye as he's leavin' for work, turn around to get ready for a mornin' on the dis-board, and look who's taken over my coffee, computer & dis-board....

That sneaky little otter... Wynottah!!!

I'm gonna have to set down some rules for her!!!:rotfl2:

Deb, have you ever thought about a therapist?:rotfl2:

I have, but my insurance won't cover one. I elected to go to an"otter" kind of therapy that was free!! Everyone needs a hobby!! Mine will just annoy everyone here! That's the best kinda therapy for me!:thumbsup2

My kids have already found a turtle outside this morning and brought him in the house. They want to paint his shell. They named him duck!

Okay,,,,okay. Time for more "true confessions"!!! Originally, I was going to purchase the "Mickey Gnome" and do candid shots at FtW with him... but that gig has already been done by Travelocity.

So... combining my love for all creatures great and small, my insane love for FtW, and with YOU GUYS turning my original otter thread of August 2007 into this bazaar ever-growing monster, I thought "Why Not An Otter" to do the little FtW/WDW T.R's???

Hence... Wynottah Ottah was born!!!

Now you know the rest of the story!!:lmao:

I like the idea....its cute, its creative, its innocent....and it took a total whacko like yaself to come up with it!!!! Great Job Deb...I look forward to the Whynotta Adventures!!! But she needs a small side kick...like a roach, or a cricket...someone to be sassy and sarcastic to and make fun of! Or maybe VaCampers turtle named Duck!!!

She can have duck. I was trying to save him from the weiner dog and he crapped on me. He has been tossed back into the woods.

Thanks, Rog!! Oh.... I can imagine the possibilities of a side kick!!!

Hi everyone :)

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend so far. We were *supposed* to be camping this weekend, but my daughters softball tournament was rescheduled and now they are playing THIS weekend, so I had to cancel camping :(

The won their first game last night though (it's a double elimination) and we play again today and probably tomorrow too. One oldest DD was picked for the All Star game and she is really excited about it. We seem to be a softball/baseball family. My son is in coach pitch and made a great catch at 3rd base today to end the game :cool1:

In other news...the *bat guy* came out yesterday and it seems the dead bat we found shortly after moving in probably starved to death because it couldn't get out of the house. The bat guy had just been here a few days before we moved in and plugged up where he thought they were getting in. We can't see it from the loft because there is a huge log beam that runs the length of the whole roof line. So our dead bat is most likely the one we heard a couple of evenings and was responsible for the bat droppings. We haven't seen anymore inside since then.

Today is my 17th wedding anniversary  I can NOT believe it's been that long !! I'm only 35 and I've been with my hubby now for 20 years total. I first met him in choir class wayyyyy back in 9th grade. A fact which REALLY freaks me out now that we have a daughter going into 9th grade this fall :scared1:

So anyway, we are going to a fondue restaurant with the kids for dinner tonight after their game. I know some people would say leave the kids at home...but they've always wanted to go to this place and I would feel guilty going there for the 3rd time and they've never been once. I don't mind sharing our special day with them....as long as they aren't arguing with each other all evening !!

Shannone!!!

Your precious little ones (who are not so little anymore <sniff>) should go along and help you celebrate!!! They are who they are today because of that "enchanted" choir room in the 9th grade!:rotfl:

When we lived in Sarasota, Fl...there was a fondue restaurant called (appropriately) The Melting Pot! It was a favorite of mine, but a little too "girly" for the DH. He would go along and humor me - but I'm sure he secretly liked it!!.

Don't forget the chocolate fondue with chunks of fresh fruit! YUM!!!

Well, I finally watched RV today. Hilarious!!!! I can't believe I've avoided it all this time. Loved it!!!

Howdy from Orlando! :wave2:

We just finished watching RV too! It's just as funny the second time around. It makes me sad that we're so close to the Fort but we can't be there right now. :(

That's the place we go. We've been there twice now and it's really good. Not a cheap dinner, but 1-2 times a year makes it extra special.

Happy Anniversary!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Thanks :)

We love that movie too.

Enjoy your anniversary!

We did, thanks:) Dinner was VERY good. The kids really enjoyed the meal, especially our oldest. She loved trying all of the different combinations with the meats/veggies and sauces. She is an adventurous eater and willing to try anything at least once. We all agreed the chocolate course was our favorite though ;)

The girls lost their softball game today, as expected. But the team we played is the #1 team and is undefeated. They usually mercy the other teams..but they only beat us by 2 runs !! So tomorrow is day 3 of the tournament and if we lose tomorrow we are done. BUT if we win we go on to play in the championship game.
