That is an awesome rate. I am waiting for Dis discount codes to come out before we decide where we are going to stay. Did you order the entetainment book on-line?

That's an awesome rate! Congrats!!!

I agree, if it weren't for the great people on this board I would have never known HIFS accepted the Entertainment Card either! I got a great rate of $86 a night for our trip at the end of May!

Have a great trip!

Teresa

Hi Teresa,

We are also staying at HIFS in May (23-31) and I could only get the $129 rate. I've called several times to get a lower entertainment rate, but they are not showing anything lower. When are you going in May?

Thanks,

Meredith:D

Hi Meredith,

We are going the last couple days of May.

The hotel only sets aside so many rooms with that rate. It is possible than they are not quoting you the entertainment rate because of just 1 or 2 nights that aren't available at that rate during your stay? You may want to call back and ask them if the rate is available for any of the nights you are staying. You could do mulitiple reservations possibily, or perhaps they can set up a rate adjustment of some type.

It's my understanding that they also give a discount for those staying 7 nights or more, you may want to inquire about that also.

Good luck :)

Teresa

Hi I am wondering if you would be willing to share how much the membership cost . ? ( also would you happen to know if the rate at HIFS is good from June 15 to June 21 ?) Thanks Michelle

The price for the Entertainment book varies according to which area you want it for. I think it is between $25 and $35 dollars. I don't have a clue if the rate is available for your dates, but all you have to do is call the hotel and ask. Do this 1st, before you buy the book; you don't need the card to book the room, only when you check in.
Here's the link to the Entertainment Book website:

Thanks MrsMud.. I called its was a rate of $99 plus the tax.. I need to weigh out all my choices.. need a really good budget place or we can't come this year . Michelle

I booked the $86 rate for May, too! I just hope I can use it since the HIFS is not listed in the new Entertainment book. Does anyone know the answer to whether the card is still good for the discount even though HIFS is not listed in the book? (I also have a separate thread asking about htis topic.)

Hi Belle,

HIFS reservations wouldn't accept the card or have the rate in their system if it weren't valid. Your rate is fine.

Have a nice trip and congrats on the great rate :)

Teresa

I checked out the entertainment website.

Do I want the book for my area or the book for the Orlando area?

Thanks

Can someone tell me how the Entertainment book works?

I assumed it was full of coupons, but if the HIFS discount isn't in
the book how would you use it?

I haven't bought a book yet and was going to call the hotel
to find out if it's available March 20 -26.

But do you get an identification card that you show if there's not
a coupon?

Thanks

Hi Shadow,

You can purchase either a local book or the Orlando one, buy whatever one you feel you'll be able to use the most.

You do not need the book to call and book a room. You just request the Entertainment Card rate.

If there are rooms available during that time, then purchase the book.

The book is full of coupons, but it also has a card in it. This card is what you will need to bring when you check-in.

Hope that helps :)

Woo Hoo! I got the $86 rate for early May! This is a great deal. We paid $119 two years ago and I thought that was a good rate. They said this reservation is able to be cancelled up to 24 hours in advance. (I think, it may have been 7 days) I would go ahead and get this rate if it is available and then wait and see if Disney releases a good code for the onsite hotels. You might want to keep calling and see if your dates become available. Someone may cancel. Thanks for posting this great rate! i never would have known they took the Entertainment card. This card has more than paid for itself between this reservation and the one I made for the Hard Rock Hotel.
By the way, I got my entertainment book at JC Penney's for $20. Proceeds go to the United Way. It has a lot of coupons for restaurants in my area and fast food places like Domino's, Subway, Burger King. You can go to their website and see what coupons the book for your city has available and the one for Orlando.

I'm getting a little discouraged. I keep calling every few days to see if the entertainment rate is available between May 23 and 31 and they keep quoting me my rate of $120/nt (small discount for staying 8 nights). Seems like several folks from this thread are getting $86 - HIFS says that rate is not available for any dates during my stay. Aghhhhh...

They did note on my reservation that if the entertainment rate should become available, they would let me know. I'll also keep checking in periodically.

Maybe my luck will change soon????:)

Meredith

mship, my dates are the 12-20. Maybe the rates go up closer to Memorial day with schools getting out for the year in some states???

Does anyone know if you can get the entertainment rate PLUS a night free if staying more than 7 nights? We are staying 8 nights.

Is everyone calling HIFS directly for the Ent rate? I don't see a place to request that rate on the on line reservation form.
I am looking for a good rate for Easter week. I am only seeing aprox $175-199/night which seems a bit steep even for a holiday period.

Yes, call HIFS directly and ask for the entetainment rate. They will let you know if it is available fo your dates.
