Yikes! Vistaprint..... anyone use them and have something GOOD to say?

I LOVE VistaPrint!! I have ordered from them for years - business cards and promo materials for my business, plus Christmas cards. I just got this year's Christmas cards this past week; they have tons of designs to choose from and you can do a lot of editing to them. I was able to upload 4 different photos for this year's card, and I'm so happy with how they turned out!

I use them all the time for my classroom stuff. I have ordered rubber stamps, address labels, postcards, business cards, post it notes, invitations, magnets, etc. and never had any problem.

The only issue, be sure not to click on any "ACCEPT MY FREE GIFT" or similar button during the check out. If you read the fine print, you'll see it's part of the plan to get you as a member in some kind of special club...so if you accept, you will end up with those "mysterious charges".

I have received great quality items, business cards, post cards, magnets. All were wonderful quality. Only thing is it takes a while to ship if you don't want to pay an arm and a leg. You can get a really great deal if you orignially order half the quanity you want before you check out they give you the option to up your order everytime.

I've ordered from them before and was satisfied with my order. In fact, I'm about to order some personalized things for the ladies at daycare to put in a Christmas basket I'm making for them.

I find their items to be decent quality for the price - everything other than the ink pens that is!

Yesterday I stumbled upon the website and made what appeared to be amazing photo Holiday cards at an incredible price. I was so thrilled with my 5 x 7 folded cards and showed it to DH online when he came home.

His response?

"You ordered from Vistaprint? They're AWFUL! Just wait til you see the horrible quality when they arrive!"

Ack!

Apparently he ordered cards there last year for his business and he was appalled by the result. I never saw them so I have nothing to go by...

But then I googled vistaprint experiences and let's just say nobody seemed to have anything nice to say and the biggest complaint on top of that seemed to be getting your email box loaded with spam and also getting unspecified charges to your credit card at a later date...

Oh boy. So much for a good deal, eh? Does anyone have anything POSITIVE to say about them??? I have to wait 2 weeks to see if my cards are ok when they arrive (oh the wait!!!) and I have a back-up set to go through Shutterfly
if they really are awful.

So much for a bargain if you have to order cards twice

I order the free business cards.......I have been happy with the quality each time. BUT........once I ordered and I hit a button when checking out and it enrolled me into some kind of club,which proceeded to charge my credit card each month.
I called and they corrected the error......and put the money back on my CC......but I felt like it was somewhat underhanded the way the website checkout was set up. I am very very careful now!

I have only ordered address labels from them, twice. The first time they were great--quality fine, etc. The second time they never came. I contacted them, verified shipping info and they supposedly resent the. Never got those either. Although I did eventually get my money back. I don't know if it was them or someone stealing my personalized labels, but I am not bothering with them again.

Used them for new checks, as the prices my bank was charging for a new set were INSANE. Got them for cheap, no mysterious charges (but I'm a fine print reader most of the time). I'd use them again.

To those of you who DID have a problem-I'm so sorry you did-DH was in the same boat as you.

I'm hoping that my worries are unfounded and the cards come out great.... I did get a free shipping code along with the 50% off cards (the shipping was the 14 day one). It came out to $65 for 50 5x7 folded cards w/ linen paper and 100 4x8 flat cards color printing on both sides.....

I'll let you know how they came out!

Everyone asked me where did i get my photo cards when i ordered from Vista. The quality was not an issue....i would recommend them for sure. I ordered folded photo cards.

I have been using Vistaprint for over 4 years now. I only order the FREE items (Just pay for shipping) and have been more then pleased. I order all my kids invitations (use the postcards) business cards, labels, etc. I think they are great for what you pay. Love them!

There are a lot of us on a "rewards" site that use them for the free offers, and I don't remember complaints. One thing I ordered never came, even after waiting the 21 total days, so they reshipped it and it got to me quickly.

Yep, just go slow, make sure the right things are clicked and UNclicked, and you should be fine.

The first time I used them I did get signed up for some other program but luckily read the email and called and got it cancelled. After that I ordered our photo christmas cards this year 100 4x8 for $30. The photo cards are printed on cardstock, but are still glossy but was able to have a verse printed on back. Also got the free matching labels.

My dd is 11 and I ordered her a bunch of stuff with high heeled shoes on it for christmas like sticky notes, note cards and business cards. She loves playing with this kind of stuff and will think it is so cool to have her own personalized stuff.

I've ordered two batches of Christmas cards from them (not their stock, ones that I designed myself) and they turned out wonderfully! Colors were spot on, and they arrived in a timely fashion. I would order through them again without hesitation.

I have used them several times: past holiday cards, birth announcements, b-day invites/thank yous, baptism invites/thank yous, etc. Just had the kid's photo shoot today, hoping to get the CD back tomorrow to get on thier and design this year's card. Nothing but happy here- and have to say the shipping is high, however I have NEVER paid for expedited shipping, and my orders have always been at my door within 5 days of ordering.
