I've been sick for a couple of days. Today I feel better, but DD stayed home from school. She has been violently ill 6 times in the past 6 hours. DS called at lunch and said he was too sick to eat (which means he is about to die!) and could I pick him up? He's in bed, too. DH called from work. He is feeling ill and having chills, but he drove the car pool today, so he couldn't come home early.

I'm almost wishing I could go back to bed! I'm crossing my fingers that this is exactly what I had. I don't want another round.

I remember someone saying that their child got dehydrated with this. I believe it. DD doesn't want to drink a drop. I finally fixed a 7 up and she said she'd try to sip a little. I have a feeling it will come back up.

If you have any hydrating, get well pixie dust, we could sure use it! Thanks a million.

Hope it's short lived at your house and everybody is better SOON!
I had heard that sucking on small ice chips was a way to stay hydrated. Apparently a gulp of liquid will come back up but not a tiny ice chip. Anyway, you might want to try that. Good luck!

As soon as she can keep it down get her/everybody some pedilyte or gatorade something to get those electrolytes up. I work at a school and this has been going around rampant. Hope everyone gets better soon.

Wow you have a houseful of sick people. Bless their hearts. I hope they are feeling better very soon and that you don't succumb to this bug.

Wow your family are really going through it at the moment - hope that you are all feeling better soon.

{{{{HUGS}}}} Sounds like your whole family has it bad!!! Once when DS was sick the doctor had me fix him some liquid jello. Fix it up and then just let it cool down and drink it. Has sugar for energy and tastes good going down. You might try this with your children. Hope that everyone gets well soon.

Small sips.

Have DD take a TEASPOON every 15 minutes or so. You can decrease the interval if she tolerates this.

Drinking small, frequent amounts tends to stay down better . . .

Good luck!
