Yikes! Banking deadline and 7-month window are the same day!

I currently have a room booked at AKV-Jambo for April 30-May 5, 2015 using my 2015 AKV points. At 7 months, if there is still availability, I plan to call MS and have them apply my 50 2015 HHI points and return the AKV points so I can bank them. My banking deadline is September 30 so I am really hoping that there is availability on that day. We aren't going to HHI until 2017 so I don't need the 2015 points. We are going to AKV in 2016 so if I can't get those points reallocated, I will have to book our 2016 reservation at 7 months. We want a standard 1BR at Kidani so I am not too worried.

It sounds like you have a Feb UY, based on the Sept 30 banking deadline. But that's to bank 2014 Feb UY points. To book April-May 2015, you would have used Feb 2015 UY points, which don't need to be banked until Sept 30, 2015.

ETA: You shouldn't have problems booking AKV-K 1 bedroom at the 7 month window during that time.

OMG! Ok, clearly I have worked way too hard this weekend! This was bothering me all week and now....DUH!!...you are 100% correct! I want to use my 2015 HHI points (I already used all of the 2014 ones back in 2013!) for the 2015 trip and bank the 2015 AKV for the trip in 2016. I already used up our 2014 AKV points for our trip this October. I don't even HAVE any 2014 points to bank! Thanks for pointing out my UY mess up

And as to availability, as long as you are seeking savanna or standard view at AKV, it is highly likely to be open at 7 months out for your dates and thus you will be able to switch in the HH points. If you have a value or club level room, it is likely you won't be able to switch because those are more likely not to to be avaialble 7 months out to allow the switch.

Yup, it's a standard studio at Jambo. We prefer Kidani when booking 1BRs, but Jambo for the studios.
