Last May I was caught in a torrential rain storm while in Epcot. I was staying at BWV and had to walk from the Land to BW, sometimes in ankle deep water. By the time I got back to my room, I was soaked even though I was wearing a poncho. Biggest problem was my shoes. I was wearing my Crocs which dried fine over night, but the biggest issue was my socks. The sole of my Crocs have little bumps which are fine most of the time, but wore through my wet socks. Luckily, it didn't give me blisters or anything so my trip wasn't ruined. For my upcoming trip, I want a good pair of walking sandals that dry quickly. I've seen some really good advice on which walking sandals are most comfortable, but I've not seen much about how well they dry or work during rain. Any advice you could give me will be greatly appreciated. :)

I love my Teva Neotas...they are great for the beach, hiking through streams or getting caught in rainstorms at WDW.

And I love my Keen Whispers, which are made for hiking through all kinds of weather and dry very quickly after they get wet. And they fit my wide feet very well, too!

Chacos are all the rage right now. At least in the SE. But for good reason. They are comfortable and dry fast.

I love my Telic sandals. They are similar to crocs but they fit me better. I have flat feet as well as wide feet. These dry quickly, and I can walk all day at WDW without foot pain at night.

Love my tevas! What I like most is you can adjust all the straps, so even if you find something rubbing, you can re-adjust it so it doesn't!

i wear keen whispers every trip now. the best shoe i have found for the parks. i learned about them here : )

We all wear Keens at Disney and haven't had any trouble. DH used to have Tevas and he liked those too.

Oofos sandals, they come in slides or in flip flops. They are made as a recovery shoe after marathons, so super comfy and provide me arch support. I do NOT run marathons, but I do have arthritic knees that demand good shoes. They also are all rubbery/foam and no fabric, so once you dry them and your feet, they're dry.

I have both Dr Scholls and Ryka sandals, and switch between them and a pair of Sketchers Go Walks. Both sandals give me enough support so that my feet don't get overly tired/sore. The Go Walks are my travel day shoes (I can wear socks with them so I don't have to go barefoot through security - ick), but a nice change of pace if the sandals are wet.

You are such good enablers! Lol. I already have Olukai's and a couple pair of crocs flip flops. Now I'm convinced that I need a pair of Chacos and will probably order them in the morning. My husband is going to ban me from the boards.
