As you may know, my prom is coming up in about 3 weeks. It is a complete disaster so far. The hotel supposedly isn't booked. Tickets were on sale this week. It was a 3 day week, so whoever the genius was that came up with that idea I would really like to thank for making me skip lunch yesterday. Yes, I stood in line my ENTIRE lunch period (about 40 minutes) trying to buy the tickets. I got up there as soon as the bell rang and my friends and I got straight in line, not even going to our lunch table first. We stood there the whole time and I was about 10 minutes late to my next class. When we got to the front of the line, we had to argue with the parents there about the table. One of my friends, "J", bought her tickets on Monday and started a table. They called her up yesterday to make sure there were other people that were going to fill up the table. They started putting random people in so there were 3 seats left when the rest of us got there. J had left for a doctor's appointment. We told the lady selling tickets that she did NOT want to sit with those people and that lady argued with us. Then she wanted to talk to J. We told her that she wasn't here. The lady argued with us about that saying that she was because she had just talked to her (about an hour earlier). I just talked to J before I got in line, walked with her to the front lobby, and saw her walk out the front doors. She is NOT here! They went back and forth with us for a while and eventually another lady stepped in and said that she knows we are right and put us all at another table, with J, but "couldn't remove J's name from the original table without actually talking to J". J had to go back into school later in the day to straighten it out. On top of all this, I stood in line for about 20 minutes to turn in my class dues on Tuesday and our class sponsor (the teacher in charge of this all) decided it would be prime time to go on vacation this week. I won't even start on her. I really hope the actual night won't be as chaotic and messed up as everything leading up to it is.
