Well, my sister and I really need some advice. Next November (Yes it is almost a year away. :rotfl: ), I am taking my niece and nephew to WDW for a long weekend. Their mother, my sister, will also be joining us. The kids know that I will be taking them sometime but they don't know that we have already booked the dates. They will find out on Christmas Eve. Anyways, I was talking to my sister this weekend and she mentioned that my niece has said that she wants to go to a princess meal. Well, now we have a dilema trying to figure out which princess meal if any to go to. The biggest problem is that my niece is an extremely picky eater. Here are the foods that she will eat.
Breakfast: pastry, pancakes, waffles, sausage, and fruit
Lunch/Dinner: chicken fingers, fries, breads, desserts, maybe pizza

Now to complicate matters, she will be 10 when we go so we will be paying an adult price and we will only have 3 full days in the park.

Also, I don't think that I want to do CRT since I have heard very mixed reviews for the price.

All right, given all that, which meal if any do you recommend?

Thanks!

I would probably do the Norway breakfast. CRT is so expensive especially with a 10 year old. We did the Norway lunch last month and really enjoyed it but with such a picky eater you may be better off with breakfast.

I agree with the above poster- given the pickines bfast in Norway might be the best bet (assuming you are planning on spending some time in Epcot). It's a great way to blow out quite a few princesses

Hi everyone! I am "Donald is #1"'s sister and my daughter is the pickey one! Below is what I have seen for the Norway breakfast:

**Disney Princesses and Friends Adult Family Style Character Breakfast - Norwegian-style breakfast with an American twist. Scrambled Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Potato Casserole, Fresh Breakfast Breads, Fresh Seasonal Fruit, Juice, Coffee, and Milk - $22.99 * *

Looking at this, at this present time she would only eat the breads, fruit and maybe the sausage depending on how it looks..:snooty: lol ... Can you get refills on these items is she eats them all? $23 is a lot to spend on fruit and bread ..:scared1: lol.

I heard that this is a good place to meet the princesses. Do they spend enough time at each table?

Thanks everyone!

becka and tinkandpan, thank you for the recommendation! Have you seen pancakes at the Norway breakfast?

Does anyone else have an opinion?

I do not believe any Princess Breakfast serves pancakes. You can eaily review their menus using this link: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/dining/disneydining.cfm

We personally and recently experienced the 1900 Park Fare Dinner, Cinderella Roundtable Breakfast and the Princess Storybook Dining - Restaurant Akershus Lunch. Akershus was the one restaurant that appear to not to be designed for the number of guest they book. The whole operation ran about 40 minutes behind schedule and many people were left standing outside as tables freed up as if they ran the restaurant in distinct seating sessions. To say the least when we walked outside the poor CM was attempting to keep the peace with angry guest.

Just remember character meals by nature are expensive since you are paying for the ease and assurance of meeting the characters.

Personally the most professionally run character meal was the Roundtable and the food was well prepared. Just remember to stay for the entire show-performance that includes Making A Wish.

The Supercalifragilistic Breakfast at 1900 Park fare does have pancakes but it is hosted by Mary Poppins, Alice in Wonderland, the Mad Hatter and friends.

We did Cinderella's Gala Dinner at 1900 Park Fare on our Dec. trip. The food was Delicious! It is a buffet, they had Chicken nuggets, fries, Pizza, etc. on the Kids buffet. For adults, they had many delicious choices...cooked to order pastas/sauces, prime rib, pork, red snapper, a great variety of salad choices, fruits, desserts, etc.

Characters present were Cinderella and Prince charming, the stepmother and stepsisters. She won't get to see all the princesses, but for a picky eater, this is a great choice.

Thanks everyone! My sister & I are debating it as I write! :rotfl2:

Does anyone know if 1900 Park Fare has a dress code?

We saw pretty much everything when we were there. Some fnilies wer dressed up but most people just had on jeans or shorts and T-shirts. Of course, pretty much every little girl in there had a princess dress on, but for the rest of you, shorts should be fine. We went over from the MK, and then headed over to Epcot after dinner, so park clothes should be fine. I wouldn't wear a tank top or rippped shorts, but otherwise, I would say anything goes.

We did both the breakfast at the Castle and 1900 park fare. Your picky eater would be fine at both! They were both very enjoyable.. very casual dress at both
