You guys must be sick to death about all the pool hopping questions, but it can be confusing, you know?

I have read, that a BCV resort guest cannot invite guests to the pool, because these guests are not staying at BCV and do not have a room key. What about day guests? People just coming in to visit us for a day? Can they get a temporary pass that allows them access to SAB WITH us? I know pool hopping amoung dvc owners is forbidden at SAB, but I have never heard of a Disney resort not allowing "guests" of the guest to use their pool.

We did this once at BWV after asking at the desk. They had no problem. I know that BCV is very strict about use at the pool...I would make sure to verify that this is an option at SAB before inviting friends....From what I understand it is ONLY BC/YC and BCV guests...

I asked this question during the summer and was told as long as you did not ask for more wrist bands than the number of people you can have in your villa you should be okay. I'd like to know if this is the policy. Annmarie

hint... there is more than one place to get the wrist bands

YC and BC give them out ..just go to both with your room key

This is really a question that can only be answered by the resort itself. It may depend on how busy the resort is whether or not they can say "no problem". As you state, most resorts do permit a reasonable amount of visitors to visit with friends who are staying at a resort. It is handled case by case but chances are good that you will be allowed to have some friends.

When we were there in Dec and asked this question, the front desk at the BC said to ask the CMs at the pool and they said sure, just let us know when you arrive with them. It was the first week in Dec, so a slow time of year.

I would suspect that the answer would depend on the hotel occupancy and number of people at the pool on the day you ask.

There are signs posted at all the pools that they are for the exclusive use of the resort guests. The Vacation Magic article about pool hopping also says this.

Yes, I understand that. I am asking if a "GUEST" of a resort guest is welcome to use the pool. I am not talking about inviting someone that is staying at the All-Star to join me at SAB. I am talking about my brother coming up to visit me while I am at Disney, since he lives an hour south of Orlando. They have a tight financial budget, so spending a day in the parks would not be possible. I know when I have stayed at other Disney resorts, I have entertained visitors at the pool of the resort. It makes for a relaxing visit. So, if we are going to stay out of the parks to entertain my brother and his family, I would like to be at SAB so my kids can make a fun day of it.

It can never hurt to ask. But, the signs at all WDW pools read "exclusive use of resort guests only". I am sure that guests of guests are not permited. But, then againg if it is a really slow day at SAB, the Life gurards or main desk will probably say OK.

Either way, have fun.
