Yet another ME Question...

Hi. I booked my trip through my travel agent and I am leaving in 11 days. I still haven't gotten my ME luggage tags yet. My travel agent says they should be coming this week. Is this normal? Just curious...

I used DME May 13th and May 22nd. We were told we would get the tags 21 days out, but most of us did not. I called about two weeks out and was told I probably would not even get them, then lo and behold received two identical packets just two days later. When I checked in at the DME counter there were more people that had not gotten luggage tags than those of us who did. The ones who didn't get tags were either retreiving their own luggage or looking in a booklet they had at the DVC counter that showed pictures of all the different luggage, identifying theirs, and then letting DME retrieve them. It didn't seem to be a big deal for most people.

Thanks for the reply! I spoke to my travel agent yesterday and she said that they should be here 'any day now'. I was contemplating getting my own luggage anyways so if I don't get the tags then that is what we will do...

We used DME on June 18 and got our tags about 5 days before we left. You may get yours a little later since they have to go to your TA first and then they will send them to you. But, there were a lot of people at the time we were going that didn't have tags and they seemed to do just fine. If you don't get your tags, make up something that will stand out on your luggage. I had just made some yellow strips, with our info (resort and name) on them and laminated them when I got our tags!!! You should be fine.

I called a few days ago for ME. My trip was about 37 days out at the time and the woman I spoke to said since my trip was "just around the corner", I might not get the luggage tags etc before we left. I was quite suprised. I know they had a lot of issues in the beginning but I didn't think/realize I should have called earlier. We'll just see what happens. But she said no tags, no problem. Just go to the desk etc.

I didn't even think to make my own tags, thats a great idea! I just spoke with my TA again (friend of the family) and she said she will have them the LATEST next Tues (we leave next Fri). I told her to drop them at my house when she gets them. Wow, Disney really didn't think this one through very well did they??
