Yet another ME question. . .

I'm using ME on my trip this July (7/6 to 7/13). I've been reading a lot of posts about getting to the Welcome Desk and checkin with ME but I haven't seen anyone talk about checking out. My question is, what time should I go to the resort check out desk to get my boarding pass and leave my luggage? I'm traveling by Song so I know I can do this, just want to know how early I should be at resort airline checkin desk? I hate being late and rushing, and I don't like to cause others to be late either. I intend to stay at the resort the whole day, so I have time. My outgoing flight is at 5:30pm on a Wednesday. They will leave your ME paper work on your door the night before you check out. Our fleight left at 8:00 p.m. we were on the 5:10p.m. ME to the airport.

Never mind everyone, I just read on another post about being on time for your departure, they suggested 45 minutes before you're scheduled to leave. I'll get my boarding pass an hour before just to be on the safe side.

Just so you know, the desk is only open from 6am-2pm. Make sure to do it within this time frame. Also, allow time just in case there's a mad rush, and they get a line.

After the desk closes, Lobby Concierge can still print out some boarding passes (provided the airline has online check-in), but cannot check luggage.

The room checkout deadline is around 11 AM. You can check baggage for Song at your convenience between 6 AM and 2 PM,as soon as you check out is a good time, for your late afternoon plane.

If you were able to check your bags for the homebound flight in advance at the resort, or if you have your bags in hand, you don't need the 45 minutes in advance of ME departure, 15 minutes in advance is enough. Then you don't need to worry about lines for the airline checkin desk or for the bellhop, and you can go directly to the ME bus. You can get your boarding pass at the airport if you forgot to get it at the resort and the line is long.

I believe you can check in your bags from 12 hours before your flight time to 3 hours before your flight time. If your flight is at 5:30 the busses will pick you up around 2:45 so you need to check your baggage at least 3 hours before your pickup.

Otherwise, they will tell you that they don't have enough time to guarantee that your bags will get home at the same time as you do and you will have to take them with you.

Thank you Chip, Seashore and Mearsdriver, this is exactly the information I was looking for. I didn't know the airline checkin desk closes at 2:00 so I'll be there much earlier. I think I'll check in with the airline desk when I check out at 11:00, that way I won't have to worry about time.

We checked in, got our passes and checked our luggage at 8 am. Then we went on about our day. Our bus was at 3:25.
