OK!

9/23 - arriving at MCO 1:20 PM. :cheer2: We'll spend as much time as possible at the MK that evening, eating something there.

9/24 - Quick breakfast at the OPR (we're staying at the Caribbean Beach) and then MK all day, with res. for the Crystal Palace at 4 PM. I think they have fireworks that night??

9/25 - Quick breakfast at the OPR, then MGM (EMH night) all day, with res. for the 50's Prime Time at 6:30 PM. I'll either take the younger ones back to the hotel for an afternoon break before dinner, or I'll take them back right after dinner. My husband and older girls will want to stay till it closes!

9/26 - Quick breakfast at the OPR, then EPCOT (EMH morning) all day, with res. for Alfredo's at 1 PM. We'll stay till we're tired, then head back to our room (and maybe pool) for the evening.

9/27 - We're free for a Water Park, the AK, Downtown Disney - whatever seems good. I'd like to plan some non-room downtime before our res. for the Whispering Canyon (Wilderness Lodge) at 6:40 PM, if we don't get the chance to get back to our room beofre dinner. Maybe we can hang out at the WL lobby?

9/28 - We have res. for the Storybook Princess breakfast at 8:35 AM, so we'll probably spend the morning at EPCOT. Then we have res. for the Liberty Tree Tavern at 2:45 PM. We can either spend the evening at the pool (and the washing machine!) or do some more MK (EMH night) - we'll probably split up.

9/29 - We're free again for a Water Park, the AK or Downtown Disney, but I think that I'll spend a quiet afternoon with my youngest before our res. for the Biergarten at 6:35 PM. We'll probably stay at EPCOT (EMH night), looking for some fireworks.

9/30 - Quick breakfast at the OPR, then the MK (EMH morning) for a few hours, with res. for the Supercalifragilistic Breakfast (Grand Floridian) at 11 AM. After that, we're free for wherever we haven't yet been.

10/1 - We have res. for the Crystal Palace at 8:15 AM. Then we can wrap things up at the MK and EPCOT. I'd like to be back to the Carribean by 2ish, so we can spend a few hours in the pool or resting before our res. for Shutters at 6:40 PM.

10/2 - Another free day, to finish up whatever appeals to us. We can split up and then meet up for our res. for the Sci Fi at 6 PM. Then it's time to say goodbye to MGM (EMH night).

10/3 - Departing from MCO at 11:25 AM. :(

Any thoughts? We've never taken this sort of vacation with the children and I'm not sure how much to plan and how much to wing!

Thanks so much.

I like what I see, excet you seem to be going everywhere EMH is. Take a second look at the rides offered and decide if it's for you. EMH means one thing: CROWDS. During the EMH it'self, it's not THAT bad, but during the rest of the time, you have to contend with all the EMH'ers plus the regular, average park attendees. EMH can be your best friend AND your worst enemy. Use them with caution.

Thanks for the heads up!

Maybe I can switch some of my reservations around....

Back to the drawing board!

It also looks like you are doing MK on a Saturday, and I think that MK tends to be the busiest park on weekends. Especially with two shows that evening.

My husband wants to go to the MK FIRST - before anything else!! I realize that it will be more crowded, but it's important to him

Why 2 res. for Crystal Palace? I'd change one to a different Character meal so you see some different characters. Based on recent reviews I'd stay away from the Garden Grill in Epcot.

My husband and I went to Disney when we were first married and we have such fond memories of the Crystal Palace, we'd like to have breakfast *and* lunch there! Sort of a sentimental thing!

I did make a big switch, though!

9/25 (Sunday) we'll go to Epcot, NOT the MGM, and still eat at Alfredo's (1:30).
9/26 (Monday) we'll go to MGM, NOT Epcot, and still eat at the Prime Time, though a little earlier (4:20).

That we we can avoid the EMH crowds, though my husband and older children can always spend the evening at MGM on Sunday, if they want to get a jump start on some rides.

I'm so glad that I found this site - I never would have known that the crowds are worse on EMH days! Every time I learn something new, I change a dinner reservation!
