If I pay my whole Disney vacation on this card (about 1,200) do I get 12 points or does a vacation purchase not count? Thanks in advance.

With the Disney Visa, you get Disney Reward Dollars which get turned into a gift card. And yes, you'll get $12 rewarded for the $1,200 you charge. In addition, if you are booking a Disney Package and charge it to your Disney Visa, you get 6 months, 0% interest on that charge. Just split the total by 6 months and pay it off over time with no interest.

The rewards expire 5 years after first earned

Yep

Additional information - - once you transfer the rewards to the rewards card they expire the end of the next year. For example, I ordered a rewards card in Oct 2008 and the expiration date was Dec 2009.

we put a disney vacation on our disney visa in january for the 6 months same as cash. now i always make several payments during the month so when my bill comes in its not very high. well all my payments went towards the disney trip and not my purchases so they started charging me interest after only 2 months. I called and argued with them..( i keep very accurate records of what i have charged and how much I owe) they did refund my int but I had to pull money from the savings to cover the trips...something I was not planning on doing. It was never explained to me, so I never gave it a second thought about making my pmts. I just assumed since the amount that was left was the cost of the trip that there would be no interest charged. Next time I will know to only pay what is owed when the statement comes in plus what i want to put on the trip amount.

OK another ??. If I earn say 5 rewards in 2009 and some more in 2010, when does my 5 years end. Do they keep up with each reward or do they all end at the end of your first 5 years. Does this post make since:confused3. Have a card with about 20 points on it now. Plaining to go to disney in 1015. Just trying to see how to manage my points.pirate:

Thanks.

If you sign in online to your acct., it will show a list- such as;
$15 will expire 10-2011
$11 will expire 11-2001
and so on- not exact but you get the point.
I've beem saving since late 2008 and have $711 to pay for our DDP and tips this Oct!

I'm glad they took the interest back off for you. I've done this several times and haven't had a problem - yet. I watch it very carefully, especially when I have normal purchases and a trip. I've been paying it like you ended up doing, so that must be why I haven't had a problem. I pay (at one time) the total of any new purchases I have and then I also have an automatic payment set up with my online banking for any trips. I've even had as many as 3 different trip charges going since they'll do the $200 deposit for 6 months, then the balance I charge at the 45 day mark for 6 months but have also had the tail end of another trip still going too. It can get confusing if you're not careful.
