YET ANOTHER Disney Visa Complaint

I am a Disney shareholder. In my packet containing the annual report was an offer to receive an exclusive Disney Watch if you applied for, and used, a Disney Visa. I called the number on the offer and was directed to 3 other numbers, as I was asking how to get the watch if I was a shareholder who already had a Disney Visa. I was finally told that I could purchase it for $40. I guess this, and the 7 days for 4 offer (and who knows what else) shows that it was not smart to get the card as soon as it came out!

Actually, it kind of shows me that the Card is not doing as well as they hoped, hense, all the recent "offers".

Probably lots of folks, like us, got the card for the WDW discounts and rarely use it. I'm hoping that they will come out with better discounts for us older card holders.

I don't have, nor do I want to have a Disney Visa. But I do have a Visa from the same issuing bank, and let me tell you, they have offers all the time for people to get the same card I have, but nothing for existing card holders. Bank One (or what ever their name is n today) has hundreds of Co-branded cards. They are probably one of the largest VIsa issuers in the country. I believe that the "Co Branders" have the say in what gets offered and when, and it is just timing as to whether "you" get the offer or not. You may think that the Disney Card is not doing well, hence the offers. I don't think that is the case. I think it is just a way to get new customers, you can carry a Disney Card, or a GM card, or a ANimal Rights card, etc. It just gives the public a choice when they are looking for or acccepting offers for a new credit card.
