Yesterday's success

This is really gross. My cat has a sensitive stomach so I don't freak out too much when he vomits. However, he started throwing up undigested food and throwing up in places he usually wouldn't, so I got worried and made vet appointment. I came home about a half hour before the appointment to pick him up and there was what looked like a horrific crime scene on my hardwood floor. It was a half-digested mouse! EEEEWWWW!!! I quickly scraped it off the floor into a ziploc, and threw it into a paper bag and off to the vet we went. The vet said he must have swallowed the mouse whole and he had been digesting it for 2-3 days.

As totally disgusting as this was, I am so glad I didn't freak out and bring him in sooner, and that he finally barfed this thing up otherwise it would have meant major exploratory surgery.

Not one mouse, but TWO ran across my friend's foot last night in Walmart. She screamed and people came running.

I found a dead one in the air filter on my van the last time I changed it. How it got in there is beyond me. How it died and withered away without stinking up the car is an even bigger mystery.
