Yesterday at Magic Kingdom - 4/3/16

I don't get the whole lining of toilet paper on the toilet seat and leaving it there. Last year at Disney I was waiting in line to use the washroom and I walked to a stall as it opened up. A woman and her young son had just walked out. I gasped out loud at the sight I encountered. It looked like they had a toilet paper party. Toilet paper was still all over the seat, all over the floor and toilet was completely clogged with paper.

That is when you say in a loud voice "Good grief! What kind of idiots left this mess? Don't people know how to use a toilet?"

When I say I gasped, a few choice words loudly came out of my mouth. A few others in line came over to look as I gasped. The mother and child just scurried right out of the washroom. They didn't stop to wash their hands.

Disney is setting things up for its next extra cost premium experience. For only $149, you get to spend 3 hours after closing cleaning MK bathrooms. Leftover turkey leg, unsold popcorn, and stale coffee included. I'm sure there would be plenty of guests willing to pay for this honor.

$149, that's a bargain!!

Where do I sign up? Is it sold out already?

Countrymommy - Well done you for attempting to clean up! The majority of people don't even do that.

Yes people are dirty, but we were there for two months (Florida AP holders) last Sep. and Oct. I walked into bathrooms many times that were in an awful state. Garbage pails overflowing onto the floor, soap dispensers empty, no towels in multiple dispensers, no toilet paper in multiple stalls. There is no excuse for that, it simply means that Disney does not hire enough cleaners. Thank goodness for hand sanitizer and Kleenex.

I just got back and have to say while I was in some icky bathrooms... there was a CM in the icky ones each time trying desperately to keep up with the huge mess people were making.

Just got back Saturday. I did not experience any issues with cleanliness in any bathroom at any of the parks. In fact, there was a bathroom attendant in nearly everyone I went in.

I was at MK the same day. We only used the "new" bathrooms at Rapunzel's tower. I had no issue with the cleanliness of the men's room at all.

We did Sea World, All 4 WDW parks and both UO parks this trip. I took notice of workers at all parks struggling to keep up with the filthy habits of the throngs of disgusting people. Seemed to be a losing battle all around.

Recently read a thread from 2003 that was complaining about dirty bathrooms. Not a new problem.

I only saw one bad bathroom when we were there over Easter, and it was in MK and it was a kind of specific "issue" (ick) that some disgusting guest had done that made me cringe and not want to touch anything in there. I double soaped at the sink and pulled the hand-sanitizer out of my fanny pack (don't judge me) after that experience. I assumed the guilty party had not long left and CMs just hadn't gotten there to clean. It's not like they can be in there constantly waiting for someone to mess the place up. That bathroom could have just been cleaned and then somebody gross came in and left me the present I had to deal with on the floor of my stall.

This was early in the trip, and I was very aware of the bathrooms from then on. They were actually remarkably clean, and quite uncrowded I thought for the volume of people passing through them during that time.

Funny you mentioned the bad condition of the bathrooms! I definitely noticed the same thing last week when I was there. Not typical of Disney - at least up until now. Yikes!

We just returned and also noticed bathrooms were not as clean as in years past. There was a decline just since this past November and January. My biggest concern is that CM's seem a bit over extended, making them less personalable. Some CM's were still fantastic but the overall experience is not what it used to be. I thought it was just a couple of "off" trips but it is apparent it is a definite trend in our opinion.

Just got back from a trip in March (Spring Break) - every restroom encountered was clean but didn't see an attendent in the restroom as I have in the past.

Funny that our late March spring break I was surprised how many times we saw attendants in the restrooms. Nearly every single time! Just shows how it is all timing.

I feel that the cleanliness of the bathrooms has certainly gone down the past few years. I have been going to WDW nearly yearly since 2005 and I remember actually talking about how impressed I was with the bathrooms during those first couple years we went. The prices keep going up but the quality is going down.
