Sunday November 18--The Magic Kingdom
We are up and out of the room by 7:45 a.m., our reservations for the Cinderella breakfast are at 8:20. We park at the ticket and transportation--we got a good spot, I guess since the park doesn't open until 9 a.m. When we get to the magic kingdom, they check our bags, we spot the sign for priority seatings and head to it. They ask you for your name and check to make sure you have a priority seating, then they let you in. The streets were almost empty--We have our picture taken in front of the castle and we look like the only family there!!!
We make it to the castle, and are seated right away. Sami is very happy to see the princesses as well as Allie. The princesses at the breakfast were snow white, Jasmine, Belle, sleeping beauty and of course Cinderella. Doug had to have his picture with Jasmine!
After breakfast we headed out and were surprised to find the park still pretty empty, we felt it wasn't crowded the whole day. In the morning, we went on Its a small world, peter pan, the haunted mansion, the new Alladdin ride, the priates of the Caribbean all with only a small wait. We were very happy, since we normally only go during the Easter break, we are used to crowds
The whole day we kept saying this is great--but by thanksgiving we found the crowds. Doug took Allie and Dylan on splash mountain and the train ride, while ryan Sami and me just walked around. We did get fast passes for the Pooh bear ride but this was the only ride we got them for.
The only thing we didn't plan for was the parade, so we didn't end up with a good viewing spot. I really wanted to see it since its new so we will just have to plan for it another day
I did enjoy what I could see though. We went to tommorowland after the parade and rode buzz lightyear and the people mover ride (this is what we call it-actually sami calls it the people remover and is convinced when she sees an empty car the people were 'removed')
We stopped at the Plaza pavallion for dinner for pizza and chicken strips. After dinner we rode the jungle cruise and then repeated some of the rides from earlier until the park closed at 8 p.m.
We had a perfect first day and hoped the rest of the trip would be as good. I honestly can't remember anything bad about this day!!!
We also notice the christmas decorations are starting to go up.
