YES, touring Cinderella’s Dream Suite was Amazing!+14 Other Magical Days* Dismeet & Wrap

My desire to stay at an Epcot resort just went up about 1,000% because of this update. So much fun. I love Enchanted as well. I feel like its so underrated!
Hi Marissa!! Your TR is another that I am very much looking forward to getting caught up with. Honest, I am going to do more than just peek in, I'll even comment!!

I know you toured BC on your trip and enjoyed it so yeah, this may just give you a little more inspiration. :)

Enchanted is one of my favorite non-animated Disney movies. I love Amy Adam's performance.

Isn't it always lovely when the tech doesn't work... but it's YOUR fault. I just love that. :headache:

I can now see the hustle, yes. :thumbsup2

Goodness that is a pretty nice spot to see Illuminations. But I'll take a boat in the water. ;)

Haha, you must just REALLY like EMH at Epcot since I think you made the same mistake in December too. Of course some EMH could have helped me out of a jam on a couple of occasions as well.

You know, why is it only England that gets into the street writing? Of course I do love it, but the other countries should do more stuff like that.

Hmmm, I would say that fireworks burst is right before "Some imagination, huh?". But that's just a guess... :rolleyes1

Aww Brenda, I LOVE how you ended the evening on the beach. Those are the moments that I most cherish. The little moments that aren't planned and just... happen. :lovestruc

Hi Rob! If I said, 'oh sorry, it's my fault for not putting my finger on the scanner proper 3 years ago!' He may have still chastised me. I think he needed to go through customer sensitivity training with Joe the angry monorail operator!!

Yes, motion blur is a sure sign of hustle. Glad it was illustrated proper!! and you get to see that my flip flops match my skirt! :lmao:

Yep, made that mistake yet again this trip... and for DHS. My poor friend Beth wondered why I wasn't hustling over to meet up when I was sashaying through WS at a leisurely pace thinking there was EMH. Darn!

I think the other countries should write in the street too. For example Canada could write on the pavement in your native Canadian and use words like favourite and colour! :rotfl2: You know foreign words like those. (Pleas not hate PMs, I'm just joking. Right Rob? ::yes::)

Probably a good guess Rob. I know it's not when Peter Pan is fighting Hook. (Or is that only in CA? You can definitely tell that I'm not an F! expert.)

Rob you have an entire TR theme that was based on that spontaneous moment theme. You are absolutely right. Just glorious.

Ummmm...I'm not sure who was stalking who after all the time we ran into each other. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

It was all Mark's idea! :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Brenda, I think that picture you posted of the three of us is my favorite of us all together by far.

Beautiful photos at the World Showcase during the day and in the evening. I must say I am not an Illuminations fan at all (we skipped it after the CP earlier this month), but if I were to stay for it, I'd like to have a seat and be cool.

In case I don't get back here,

Hi Birthday Girl!! I'm glad to see you popping in today! :flower3:

We'll just agree that there was no stalking going on. Fate just brought us together a few times.

For both CP packages we didn't stay to watch Illuminations. We saw it a couple times though since I hadn't seen the Holiday version.

Thank you so much for the New Year greeting!!!

I hope you enjoy your special day! And because there's no such thing as too many birthday greetings.... :bday: party:

I love Epcot at night. Great photos!

I don't think I've ever had a server talk me out of something I've wanted to order. Did you tell Jesus you didn't care for the gorditas? Great seat for Illuminations, though.

I've never taken the time to watch a movie at WDW. Added to the list.

Ugh! I had a long post!! :worried: My computer crashed and ate it.

What a great view of IllumiNAtions. Very jealous!

I have said it before, but you have adorable clothes! I would gladly help you clean out your closet if you needed more space…

I forget whatever else I had written and I'm already getting sleepy… so I'm hoping it wasn't terribly important since my computer hates me. :badpc:

Boourns for the MB not working properly, and the cm not being great about it! But glad Em was there to save your skirt! Bahah! Those margaritas sound interesting! I had the avocado one in Sept and it was super good though! So that proves thinking outside the box is good, right?

That looks like a delicious meal! Paige and I decided that in Sept we’re going to try Teppan Edo for our Epcot meal, but I still want to do both the restaurants in Mexico! Hm…I gotta figure that one out! Lol! Hopefully by your next trip I’ll be there for good and we can share some chips and enjoy a margarita!

Awwe, that sounds and looks like a PERFECT ending to an evening! I have to say, if I thought YC had won my heart in Feb when we walked through it to get to Beaches and Cream, then I was wrong, because the moment I stepped into that lobby a few weeks ago, I’m pretty sure I actually literally died. I definitely also took the moment to walk through the sand on the beach upon arrival day, it was magical and that place is now home….along with akl and Pop, and AoA, and you know, Florida in general. Bahaha! BUT there is something amazing and perfect about the yc!

Hi Annie! Isn't it wonderful? Everything all lit up and reflections off WS lagoon are especially beautiful. Thank you!

Ha ha! I suppose Jesus was just being honest from his point of view. I suppose that great spot for Illuminations was a consolation of sorts for the mediocre gorditas. And no, I didn't mention I didn't care for the gorditas but maybe the presence of an entire uneaten gordita on my plate was a clue. :)

Glad I can help you grow your list! :thumbsup2

Oh NOOOOOOOO! Sorry about that! :(

Why thank you. PM me your address and I'll send you something! :) Seriously. We'll start the Diser closet share program!

Here, I'll join in your computer bashing. :badpc::badpc::badpc:

Awww, I wish you lived 1,200 miles closer too and could have a DISmeet with us in Chicagoland! Someday.....

Ugh, that stinks about the MB's. Incorrect finger scan my patoot. I'm going to call that "I'm too lazy to actually try to assess what could have happened..."

Woo! Good not having a wardrobe malfunction. Bike shorts under dress, check! I'll have to remember that.

Shoo fly don't bother me just makes me think of Encino Man....."cause you belong to my friend Link..." :lmao: Random....I know.

Agree! Bah for the CM who didn't show his Disney charm. And yes, Em's quick response averted another wardrobe malfunction!

Love TE and between the two Mexican TS restaurants I can't decide which I like better. Actually.... I prefer San Angel for now since I now am in love with La Cantina.

Wouldn't that be awesome! Chips and magaritas with another CM pal!

I'm with you. I have a few "favorites" for different reasons. But YC will always be a little more special than the others for obvious reasons. ;) I'm with you for AKL though.

When you make your home in Florida that will be so glorious!!! :yay:

I know... someday. :) I'll be interested to see how it goes.

Yeah, patoot! Bah, what a sour mood he was in.

Yes, bike shorts, the solution to any potential Marilyn Monroe moment! It works. Not that I want anyone to see my bike shorts but it's better....

Ha ha! You are a great movie quote gal. Love it!

I had a problem with my finger scan in December. They told me that I needed to be sure to put my finger in at the exact same point every time because of my fake nails! :lmao::lmao:

Just caught up! Everything seems excellent!

Oops! Sorry, I had to go back and fix my prior comment... I get confused sometimes when I don't pay attention. You may have wondered why I was saying how much I love Brave and Tangled! All is well now and I'm still grateful that you are following along.

I had a problem with my finger scan in December. They told me that I needed to be sure to put my finger in at the exact same point every time because of my fake nails! :lmao::lmao:

Ha ha! I can't remember now if it was just me that had the issue for which the nails would make complete sense or if Em had an issue as well. I asked Em and she doesn't remember. Oh well, we'll blame it on the nails. :)

Oh boy, I have a lot of catching up to do! Luckily your tr's are so good, so it's kind of a treat really! :thumbsup2

Your YC room is gorgeous! I absolutely love it!

Then yay for ToT time! That really is the best ride! ::yes:: And then a quick jump over to RnRC! Perfect - except that wardrobe malfunction!! Oops!

How cute that little duckling was tickling you!! I had this one trip where the adult ducks kept biting my friends toes on separate days even! It was too funny.

I agree that TSM has got to be the most valuable FP+ ressie. I loved not having to be there at rope drop or miss out. :cool1: However…I think I've heard that now you have to pick between that and RnRC? I haven't followed too closely (I'm still too sad about no Disney trips planned) but if so, having to choose sounds horrid!

I was surprised by how well they can teach just about anyone how to draw in Animation Academy. It was rough for me being a perfectionist as well though. The other problem is that I tend to press down SUPER hard so even with erasers provided, it never seems enough. :faint:

Man, you guys were in and out of Epcot so much! Must be so convenient to stay at those Epcot resorts!

Love how they do the movies on the beach! Maybe one day I won't run the family too tired and we can make it to one!

I'm going to go look at my safari photos and see if I missed seeing that adorable baby. Not sure how big she would have been when we went but that is awesome! Thanks for sharing those photos! :)

Oops... the baby would have been bigger this summer. That picture was from 2012. I was just point out that sometimes you see something really different. Sorry I wasn't clear. And in my TR I explained that I did the Safari twice in a row because of technical difficulties but the baby rhino wasn't out the second time. So really each safari is different, but worth it in my mind. It's totally a must do!

Epcot and rain just seem to go together for some reason.

So true!

What a nice evening you had. I love WS pictures at night, especially less crowded ones. I wonder if I'll ever take any! :lmao: I tend to want to and then get too lazy to wait and take them because I'm too tired. Next time I will because the wait for the bus after illuminations is atrocious!

And so jealous of watching the movie on the beach in the warm sand. We have a ton of snow and a windchill of -25 (-13 in F) today, so I am looking at that warm sand and totally dreaming!

I get so annoyed when I hear of people having MB problems and CMs giving them attitude... It seems like there are still SOOOO many bugs within them, that the CMs need to be prepared for that, by not blaming the guests, but rather blaming Disney for not getting it right before they released it. Soooo frustrating!

I am so happy you were able to get into IG and to Mexico on time... You did get a fantastic seat! Awesome!

Loved the movie in the sand... And I know exactly how you feel... I have much the same experience when I sit on a certain bench in MK, sipping a Dole Whip and watching the parade pass by while the castle changes colors... With all the little princesses running by, trying to see the parade, and my girls by my side... That is my favorite memory - and one I always try to recreate!

Thanks for a great update Brenda, and Happy New Year to you!

D~

It may sound silly to say that this was the best movie experience I’d had when you think - it was just outside. It was. But there were little girls in their Disney princess outfits, a pop of fireworks from Fantasmic peeking over the BWI, the reflection of the Boardwalk lights on the water, the soft sand burying our feet, and my own little baby (figuratively of course) sitting there and all combined to be so incredibly wonderful!

Not silly at all --- it actually sounds like perfection! That nighttime walk from Epcot to YC is so beautiful!

I remembered some things that I was going to say! lol Silly computer. My husband says it's because I have too many pictures uploaded on here and that I have to back them up and delete some off the hard drive- I think I repeated that right…

The finger scan? Really? Everyone knows how fickle Disney's IT department is- said with love, but come on! Their computer systems seem so delicate! But I'm sure in the moment it must be easier to blame the user.

But that leads to me another question I've had for you- Since you are a DL gal, do you have to keep up with the Gold card for DL AND a magic band for WDW? Something random that I wondered about…

fun update ... you know you are at the park late when it takes you a minute to realize that the park is, um, closed :lmao:

and I totally get where you are coming from - normal every day things combined with Disney touches make them much more special. Like, ok, watching a movie, no big deal, but to be there with your daughter, while watching little girls in princess dresses, and a blast from Fantasmic! all combine to make it much more than "just a movie"

Wanted to be sure to wish you a very Happy New Year!!!

Awww thanks Kimmy!

Your YC room is gorgeous! I absolutely love it!

Thanks! It was nice to live it up a little for a few days. Not that I can afford to do that all the time. :)

Then yay for ToT time! That really is the best ride! ::yes:: And then a quick jump over to RnRC! Perfect - except that wardrobe malfunction!! Oops!
I know all about your love affair with ToT! You even have a story to go with that one! Yes, wardrobe malfunctions are not a highlight.

How cute that little duckling was tickling you!! I had this one trip where the adult ducks kept biting my friends toes on separate days even! It was too funny.
Ha ha! Those ducks must have liked something about your friend's toes. The tickly feeling was funny.

I think you are right since DHS has the tiered FP selections. I actually gave up a TSM FP+ this last trip and unlike a hard FP ticket I couldn't give it away.

I was surprised by how well they can teach just about anyone how to draw in Animation Academy. It was rough for me being a perfectionist as well though. The other problem is that I tend to press down SUPER hard so even with erasers provided, it never seems enough. :faint:
I would be surprised if they could teach me to draw. It would be annoying for the rest of the class if I kept having the animator go back over his instructions several times before I "get it".... it's probably best if I just sit that one out.

Man, you guys were in and out of Epcot so much! Must be so convenient to stay at those Epcot resorts!

Love how they do the movies on the beach! Maybe one day I won't run the family too tired and we can make it to one![/QUOTE]

Exactly. If we stay near Epcot, we play there more often. Another reason why I love split stays to make it easier to make park plans when I don't have to travel far.

Ha ha! I'm picturing you guys falling asleep on the beach watching the movie. It would be nice if they had more than one showing or a double feature but heck, it's not all about what I want. :p

Thanks for getting caught up Kimmy! I hope you, Garrett and Landon have a wonderful New Year celebration!

Oops... the baby would have been bigger this summer. That picture was from 2012. I was just point out that sometimes you see something really different. Sorry I wasn't clear. So true!

Aha! I wonder how big the baby is now. I have no idea how quickly they grow. At least momma rhinos don't have to potty train their young. :)

I really need to do the safari again since we had an absence of elephants in August.

Thank you! Ack! Those crowds after make me decide to either hit the exit early or just wait around until the crowds have thinned out.

Oh my!! That's some COLD. Although I think snow is lovely I'm not prepared to spend an entire winter in it. Stay warm!

Hi D~! And Happy New Year to you and your family as well!

I don't disagree with you!! I've had issues with them for both trips however, I do feel they are an asset. BUT... they needed to beta test them more in-house before the roll out or give some type of incentive to participate such as a FP choice a day... something.

We were so lucky and we didn't ask for a window seat so it was just good timing.

Yes! You get those special moments that are worthy of being re-created or at least treasured. Especially when they involve family that helps to shape those memories.

Enjoy your New Year celebration tonight!

Not silly at all --- it actually sounds like perfection! That nighttime walk from Epcot to YC is so beautiful!

Hi Julie! Thank you. I can't quite communicate how lovely it was so although it may fall short in words, in my mind it was perfect. :)

And yes, I agree, YC is just so beautiful. Especially at night with all the twinkly lights.

I remembered some things that I was going to say! lol Silly computer. My husband says it's because I have too many pictures uploaded on here and that I have to back them up and delete some off the hard drive- I think I repeated that right…

Ha ha!! Your hubby sounds like mine.. why do I need thousands of photos from Disney trips. He's so silly.

At least for the CM with the tablet thingy he launched into accusation mode without me saying anything... The 5 year old in me felt indignant and wanted to stick my tongue out at him. :p

fun update ... you know you are at the park late when it takes you a minute to realize that the park is, um, closed :lmao:

Hi Phil! I wasn't done playing at Epcot so I have no idea why they decided to shut the park down on me.

You get it! Now that you have kids I'm sure you've started to have those moments as well where you realize you add in adorable Olivia or Peter and memories are shaped in a new and touching way.

Wishing you and your family a wonderful New Year!

Wanted to be sure to wish you a very Happy New Year!!!

Thank you so much Linda! I love that.
