YES ticket question

Typically Dh gets these with us so we just sign him up to chaperone one set of kids and I take the other child.

This time Dh won't be there. My kids' ages are such that I need to be chaperoning BOTH classes......but they want to charge me an additional "event" to chaperone. So, an additional $35 or so.

Is there a way to avoid this? Kind of irritated too because it says a child must be accompanied until the age of 14.....my son will be 30 days shy of 14 when we go.

Suggestions?
