yea i'm doing the IB diploma at my school

its basically AP classes that after you finish a certain level of classes you take tests in 6 different areas and u have to score a certain amount overall to get the diploma

as well as like 150 community service hours and a 4,000 word extended essay on whatever u want

btw i'm taking IB Theory of Knowledge, IB Principle JAVA, Honors Spanish 3, IB English 11, IB Physics, AP American/Arizona History, and IB Calculus AB

My school offers only IB courses junior & senior year, and apparently the juniors this year were under a lot of pressure for it. (My school didn't have a senior class until this year.)

Oh okay.I knew a couple of freshman who had AP world history [I think].
My friend told me the only way most of the people in there could pass the class is by cheating...

I didn't understand why my school put freshman in an AP class with seniors, when we didn't even take history or geography in 8th grade.

Well, I go to a career academy, so everything is a bit more specailized, and the students there aren't exactly, normal. We're all capable, but get lazy & procrastinate.

Have you bought school supplies? I won't until after school starts, when each teacher I have tells me what I need.

What classes did you choose for next year? Physics, Algebra 2, AP World History, AP English III, Band, Spanish III, and Newspaper.

And.. what year are you in next year? I'll be a Junior :]

I only plan on taking one AP course when I have the chance and that's French. I was thinking of doing Calculus, but I'm not near there yet.

you only really need calculus if you plan to have a math heavy job.
i did geometry and algebra two at once, and that was bad.
im taking adv trig next year, but thats juts cause i like trig.

I have a couple binders that I can probably use that're old. I have some pens too. I probably will start buying stuff in August.
I didn't choose any classes. I get no electives until junior year.
I'll be a sophomore. That freaks me out. I feel old.

I can't wait for back-to-shcool clothes shopping, though!
