DS travels on business and stays at Hyatt hotels. I am travelling with DS, DDIL and we are doing WDW for a week followed by the cruise.

I want to keep our costs down. I love Pop and want to stay there. Good value, good bus service, comfortable rooms. We will not be sharing a room because two weeks is just two much for us to be in one room. We are sharing a cabin on the cruise. It is quite a bit more expensive for me as a single to be in a moderate resort.

Is he going to hate Pop for a week when he is used to deluxe accommodation?

I just posted some photos and a comparison of Pop and Yacht club - I realize those are extremes to compare, but thought it might be helpful to see photos.

I thought that I would be able to take comfort in the knowledge I was saving $$$ and sleep soundly at Pop. But I actually couldn't sleep in the motel setting, even though it was a very clean hotel room. I, like your son, have stayed too often in Hyatt types and am used to more creature comforts.

It is a big price difference between all three levels and I'm not sure if the Moderates are any quieter.

No matter what you do, you'll have the cruise to help you relax and forget about everything! Have a great trip!

jegsnakkernorsk: I saw your post and it is a tough call. I agree that having the cruise, and we have a nice cabin, will make up for not being at a more deluxe hotel.

I have stayed at Pop Century and PO Riverside. Riveride was very quiet.

This is also their hard earned dollars, not those of the company footing the bill - LOL.
