Yes......another digital camera question

I have been looking at digital camera's--we want to get one for our next trip. I have my eye on the Olympus Stylus 300 all-weather digital camera 3.2 mp, 3x optical/4x digital. I need something easy. I dont want any camera that I can only use AA batteries either.
Anyone have one of these or any experience with one? TIA.

Hi Deena. I know nothing of that camera, I use a Nikon. My first Nikon used rechargeable AA's (NMH) and they are great, but my newer one uses lithium and I do find they are much more efficient, albeit a proprietary battery, so I do have several (4) that are good for about 2 days of shooting there (about 500). I just recharge the batteries in the evening/overnight in the room. So, I agree with you on not wanting only AA's. So, nothing to add on the camera, but did want to say yeah on the batteries, plus give you a bump for the AM.

I just got one of these cameras last week. It does not take AA batteries. You will probably want to get another memory card for it. The 16mb card that comes with it only holds 7 pics at highest res & 20 pics at next to highest.
