Staying at POR in 2 weeks. Is Yee Ha Bob worth it...from just a time standpoint. Time is short and would have to cut out Fantasmic to get back in time to see it. TIA!

Totally worth it! He usually does 2 shows. One at 8:30pm and the other at 10:30pm. The show takes place in the River Roost lounge which is right off the lobby and is next to Boatwrights restaurant. Boatwrights is next to the main dining area for Port Orleans Riverside.

There are some tables and chairs next to the bar area so seating is possible but get there early. The first show at 8:30 is "Kid Friendly" meaning the lyrics are clean and the kids are welcome to participate in the show when invited by Yehaa Bob. The second show at 10:30 is slightly more randy, but never raunchy as Yehaa Bob is not like that. The lyrics that I'm talking about pretty much go over the kid's heads and many adults heads if you know what I mean. They are more of an insinuation rather than anything obvious. Never enough to make anyone feel uncomfortable. Kids are welcome at the second show but there are less participation opportunities.

You can get drinks from the bar as well as order off of the bar menu. The 8:30 show is great for a late lite dinner as the food is delicious (it comes from the Boatwright's kitchen).

If you have to have a table get there 75 minutes before the first show. The room he performs in usually has enough room for all the people that want to see him but you might not get a table and if you come near the performance times you may have to stand in the back. The key is getting there early, enjoying a drink and a snack and then let the show begin.

Bob is hilarious and he loves it when the crowd sings along. It's a fast paced, enjoyable show and HIGHLY recommended!

Here is his web site so you can CHECK HIS CALENDAR TO SEE WHEN HE IS PERFORMING AT Port Orleans RIVERSIDE http://yehaabob.com/

You WILL have a BLAST!

WOW....didn't know there was a 10:30 show!!!! Totally have time ...and it's our last night...we can sleep in! Thanks!

If it tells you anything last month DGD voted to skip MK and Wishes on our last night to stay at the resort for not 1 but 2 shows. And that's after we watched him 2 other nights during our trip.

in a word? YES.

get there early. as in 90 minutes early.

totally worth it. We have never gotten their more than 15 min early. A long as you are ok getting a seat in the back you shouldn't have to. But that is just our experience and may vary by time of yr and day of week.

I would say it is so worth it - so much fun and an unexpected spontaneous experience for everyone. Only one qualification - if you haven't seen Fantasmic, I personally wouldn't miss Fantasmic to see Bob. Also, check your nights to make sure he'll be there. He doesn't perform every night.

We saw him this past Wednesday...my husband and I met doing improv and our son is a professional actor; we LOVE the streetmosphere stuff and Citizens of Main Street, we are usually into kooky stuff, but...We just didnt get into Bob. Yes, he is an amazing piano player, but the Schtick grew old quickly. I was surprised that we just found it okay, since we like hokey stuff. We did have an amazing server, though. We had a pretty good time, but seeing it once is enough for us. He seems to have a good singing voice, so I would have preferred to hear that, versus the Jimmy Durante thing he does.

We showed up at 8:15 and got a spot near the piano, no problem...but it was pouring outside.

That happened with my DD13 a few years ago on a trip! We skipped Illuminations twice, but I still couldn't believe it when she asked if we could go back and watch Yehaa Bob again!

We love Yehaa Bob!! We stayed at POR this past summer for one night (rearranging our entire vacation) because our original stay he was on vacation (the nerve!). Problem was, we waited too long to head over and couldn't get a seat in the bar area (we arrived around 8). We sat near the fireplace, but if you can't see him, it's hard to understand what's going on. It's fun watching people walk by and stop to check out the show. At first they're like "What's all this ruckus?", but before long they're singing along and telling Bob how good he looks! ;)

Bob is a lot of fun, but it is best, as everyone says, to get there well in advance. You really want to be near the action and there aren't many seats in the area for all the people that want to see the show.

Even so, it's not for everyone, as is evident by the responses here so far. It is worth the effort, IMO, to discover your own opinion. I wouldn't miss seeing him at least once.

Well, I'm not a fan of Primetime 50's or Whispering Canyon Café either. Bah humbug.

You may have just gotten lucky. Or you weren't catching the first show of the night.
One night we couldn't even get a standing room only spot for the early show during our trip in July. We ended up going to get a bite to eat and coming back for the later show. He actually did 3 shows that night. Can't remember now what day of the week it was, since we saw him on several nights of our 10 night trip. We saw several nights where the house was full during that trip, as we came and went through the lobby. If it's important to see him I would not risk getting there at the last minute if you want to catch the first show.

1 word----> A B S O L U T E L Y !

We gave it a shot, thinking it would be just for kids, silly, and totally planning to bail after 30 minutes...wound up staying for the whole thing and had to practically drag ourselves out. So fun! (we are two adults in our 40's with no kids)

we usually catch the later show and while we don't watch the whole thing, we wouldn't dream of skipping it. my teenager loves it.

We're two adults in our 30s and did not enjoy it. We stayed for 20 minutes and had a drink and that was enough for us. I can see the appeal for families, kids, outgoing people, etc. but wasn't our cup of tea.
