Yecats solo trip rpt - 11/16/03, Day 3 (Part 2)
Day 3 (Part 3) - Sunday, November 16, 2003
CAST OF CHARACTERS:
Yecats - Me, myself and I.
Me is Single, 33 (however, other two personalities - myself is about 10 years old and an advid SM freak and the I personality may be about 60 years especially after getting off of the ToT).
Also on board is my new Canon ZR65 Digital Videocamera nicknamed: Handycam, as it was always in my hand.
PLAN FOR THE DAY:
1. Magic Kingdom (Part 1)
2. Epcot (Part 2)
3. Dinner at Le Cellier (Part 2)
4. Walk over to Boardwalk
5. DTD and last boat to PORS
After being wowed by Illuminations, I decided to take a walk over to the Boardwalk and take some film. Dediced to walk with the crowd through some of the shops. The china shop in the United Kingdom has beautiful pieces that I so very much wanted to purchase but alas I don't have the extra grand needed. So onward I go and finally out of the gates and walking with the crowd to Boardwalk. I crossed the bridge and took some film of the YC/BC and Boardwalk which looked so pretty at night. I stopped several times during the walk to take some photos.
My goal was to spend some time at the Boardwalk as this is the one place that I am not overly familiar with. I bought a bottle of water and sat on the benches by the lake watching the people traffic. Then I noticed all of those ducks. Please don't ask me why animals fascinate me but they do. Then I noticed the duck food and dug out a ton of quarters. Lets say that I sat an amused myself feeding plenty of ducks for at least 15 minutes. I must've had 40 ducks under and around that duck area as I had a ton of change. Finally all the ducks looked fat and happy so on with the show. I decided to walk to the general store and shop area. Decided to do some shopping and crammed a few things into my bag. Then continued on to walk the rest of the Boardwalk.
I then spotted the DVC rooms that you can tour but didn't want to talk to a salesperson so I just stood outside it and dreamed for a bit. Then I continued on the end by the dancehall. It was really dead this night with nothing going on. I then decided to go back in the general store and buy a 2 liter of coke and a larger bag of chips and that was $8.50 gone. Then decided to end the night and walked through the Boardwalk out to the front and waited for a bus to Downtown Disney. Bus came about 10 minutes later and off to DTD I go with an overly large and quite full shoulder bad as well as a grocery bag. As we were heading over to DTD, I thought that I would catch the boat back to Riverside. Well we pulled up to DTD about 11:10 and I walked directly through the shopping area (yes this was with a grocery bag in hand) and walked up on the boat dock next to Cap-N-Jacks. The boat from Riverside was just arriving and four people got off of it. The boat captain stated that this was the last boat going back tonight. Gee arrived just in time.
I was the only one on the boat up until the minute he went to close the gate. Then another lady came on board. She sat behind me and we began the trip back to PORS. We started to talk, she was a lady of about 50 and had an accent. The lady was originally from Romania but has lived in Los Angeles for 25 years. Well I used to be a gymnist and it turned out that she was as well and both of us suffered injuries which ended our careers. Funny how you can have something in common with someone from the other side of the planet. Before you knew it we had arrived at P.O.R.S. Personnally, I don't recall the boat ride. Said my goodbye and thank her for the wonderful conversation.
Walked over Ole Man Island and back to my room. Wow I am already tired again. Time for some ibuprofen to calm the back muscles and off to bed.
