year round school?

Hello,

Does anyone know about year-round school programs? WHat the typical schedule looks like? I am tryng to find year-round schools to possibly apply at, and can't find any in my city.

Any info would would be appreciated!!

My kids went to a year round elementary school outside Charlotte NC. Their schedule was typically 9 weeks of school and then 2 weeks off. One of those weeks was used for remedial catch up. Then 9 weeks, 3 off for Christmas/winter break, 9 weeks then 2 off in the spring, 9 weeks then 6 weeks for the summer break. We loved it, and teachers I know love it. As soon as you're starting to feel burned out, it's time for a break. Kids also don't have a chance to fall far behind because of the timely remedial sessions. It also meant we could take vacations to Disney late Sep/Oct when it's not crowded.
