WoW!! I don't like the way they do it now! When DD was in GS years ago they had to sell a certain amount for their patch (I can't remember how many but I'm thinking it was like 25 or 30). And then everything they sold above that number they got 25 cents into their GS council account. They could use that money on things at the GS council store, like uniforms and such, or they could use it towards GS camp. They earned their GS council money and then they got to choose how to spend it...none of those cheapie incentives!

madison wants grilled cheese for lunch.. well let's see what happened last night while I was at work:

1. hamburgers were cooked on the grill
2. sink is full of dirty dishes
3. dw is full of dirty dishes

so i get to clean the dishes, clean the dishes, clean the grill and then I can make lunch.

why can't we just have pb & j???

I remember this SO well! I used to work evenings/nights all the time from 5 p.m. - 1 a.m. DH was great to fix dinner for everyone but every night I came home to the dirty dishes, dirty towels from the showers, etc. Now I can look back and chuckle a little and say, well at least he tried. But I used to get so mad!

Even last night, I came home from work at 5 and wasn't feeling well so DH fixed supper and did all the evening stuff. This morning you know what I woke up to! Well, at least he tried and I did get to go to bed. (Slept from 6 p.m. until 8 a.m.!!!)

I hope you can still get in on financial aid, too! DD just got her first check yesterday. Between her financial aid and student loans she ends up getting three installments over the course of the first month of the semester. She got $980 yesterday!

Scary thought...I can get my learners in less than 3 months. I better start studying for the test.

I hope you're a better driver than our DD. She totalled a car within four hours of getting her license! (Her regular license, though, not her learner's permit!)

I hope so too!! I really need it, if I can't I won't be able to sign up for classes b/c I haven't gotten my settlement check yet. I'm hoping my check will come in this week, b/c classes start on the 17th!!

MIne was suppose to be deployed this weekend to CA-for training for Iraq-but got out of it since his enlistment is up in April Thank the Lord!!!

You are so lucky he didn't have to go! I know that you've been very worried about that.

I forgot to mention!!! DS made his 1st basket during his BBgame last night!!! ANd I was there to see it-He was so excited,floated on air the rest of the game

My wreath is still in perfect shape since it's been so cold here. I'm thinking of just decorating it with a few little snowmen, nothing Christmassy, and keeping it for a few more weeks.
