I know I am a horrible speller, but since you are a nurse you'll know what I am talking about. DH has ruematiod and osteo arthritus....so high stress, bad eating, crowds and heat...yep, that is the worst case for him. He would be swollen with bumps and his joints would be so bad he wouldn't be able to walk. It is a lot better now, but there was a time when he couldn't walk at night or use his hands and he would crawl to the bedroom and then sleep on the floorckckc2000 said:my DH kept saying-can you imagine being here in summer and waiting in line in the heat-we'll take the 60-50's anytime over that!!!!so I don't blame your DH for not wanting to go in June/July
we don't want to use meds yet (plus he is allergic to some of them too)...we found that cutting out some of the stress, eating better, knowing what things trigger it like certain foods, direct sun, etc. have seemed to work and now he is "normal" he should exercise more...but overall we are active. It has been good for a long time and I have accepted that anything you can live with, you are still livingckckc2000 said:that would be bad!!! (Rhemathoid/Osteo-Arthritis)but there are some great meds out there to help with daily living-which I'm sure you already know about
or she is here for the eggsckckc2000 said:Your DH must be getting up for work!!!!

You have the right mind set-I wish him continued good healthLyn5 said:we don't want to use meds yet (plus he is allergic to some of them too)...we found that cutting out some of the stress, eating better, knowing what things trigger it like certain foods, direct sun, etc. have seemed to work and now he is "normal" he should exercise more...but overall we are active. I told him that if he kept eating the way he did he would have had a heart attack at 30...helped us learn to respect and enjoy life
