DD erica (10) went to her first dance last night

the knights of columbus the police and the schools here put on a big 5th 6th and 7th grade dance the first Friday of every month

Jess hates them says they are boring
but Erica was all excited
so we drop her off at 6:45 Mom was picking her up around 9

at 8ish she calls to tell DH some 7th grade boy told her she was "hot"

You should have seen the look on DH's face

my DD has a crush on a boy! He was playing against DS BB team last night(DS goes to a private school-and DD doesn't)I reminded her that NO Dating til 8th or 9th grade-so don't get any ideas!!!!

My girls LOVE the shock factor with DH cause it works so well

He has always been " girls you can talk to me about anything "

and I know he means it would rather them come to me but he will talk to them rather then them go to a kid or something

well in 5th grade Jess learned how to make Daddy blush and now they love it
but I kinda like that they can be open with him Means I don't have to worry to much if I am not home and they need something

oh preteens are FUN
I have 2 a 12 and 10 both girls

and if they think they are dating before 8th grade they must be smoking funky stuff

they can go places with groups of friends but no one on one dating

DH says they can Date only AFTER they get Married and that will be when they are 30

NO WAY are they living home till 30
