Considering buying tix to one of the culinary demos for our upcoming trip. (Not a food/wine pairing, a true "demo" - meaner the cheaper one!) :-) I thought I recalled reading a thread where some F&W regulars felt the demos weren't worth it. Thought I'd reach out to those who have attended and get some feedback.

Are these small venues or large ones? Is it possible we'd go there and not really have a "good seat?" Any input is appreciated! :-)

If you are considering a weekday seminar then I say go to at least one since you have never been. Plus right now if you are a DVC member we get discounts for weekday seminars. If it is a weekend seminar it will be a mob scene at the welcome center. Don't worry about seating you will be able to see and hear the demo. I personally will not be doing any due to the cost $18.00 plus. But that is because I have been the last 3 years and want to spend my money on other things.

Thanks, mama03, for the input. We are limited to a Saturday event, so I'm wondering if a wine/beverage seminar or a food/wine pairing might be more "special," even if it is waaaay more expensive! :-)

So are all culinary demos held at the Welcome Center?

We did a wine tasting one last year. We thought it was a waste. It really was just an add for a vinyard. I wish we could have done a food/wine pairing one, but none of them fit into our schedule.

Well because of the price difference this year. I don't know how different the sizes will be but here is a pic of the wine sample that went with the food.
