YEAH! It's finally raining!

I can't remember the last time we had rain in the Chicago area. Our grass is like straw and our water is so expensive we have only been watering the veggie garden and flower pots.

Of course, DH isn't happy because we were supposed to go to a concert in the park at our village hall tonight.

You ain't kidding! I just got the water bill and ! I am happy it is raining and so are the pumpkins, tomatoes, carrots... too bad about the Air and Water show and the Cubs game tho.

The rain didn't last long, at least out here in the burbs. We could really use an all day slow rain.

My DH just said that it's been over a MONTH since he's last cut the grass!

He was bummed about the Cubs game but we're going to head to the concert in a little while.
