I've been up most of the night and day b/c of my back and shoulder and now it's time to get ready for physical therapy. This oughta be a fun session

But you know, even if I'd have come home, I never would've been able to curl up.........everywhere I look in this house there is stuff to be done........the tree is up in the living room since Sunday afternoon....not lights or ornaments on it yet though I should be upstairs doing that now..........

Debbie--that hot chocolate looks yummy.....(and the X is gone!! hehehe). MAybe I'll make some and attempt the lights........ornaments tomorrow perhaps........

I'm back
good morning

we finally had our soccer banquet last night I know its basketball season and basketball tryouts were last night as well
Makes no sense to me. Both my boys had to be at Basketball and miss the soccer meal and come down to the soccer thing when it came time for their teams..absolutely rediculous

And the girls V coach just loves being the center tof attention so he used up a whole hour talking about his team so by the time we got to the boys V team, it had to be rushed ....we had about 10 minutes left

Funny thing...when the coach called Mike up and announced him as an all league player....a voice from way in the back yells
"he ain't got nuttin" surprise and laughter and turning heads to see who it was......
no need for Jerry nor I to turn....we knew it was Justin
what a brother

IKWYM about the school/sport "stuff" Debbie......at DD's school they had the "fall sports awards" (for Varsity only, all fall sports) the same night as Natl Honor Society induction
Didn't affect us of course but it did affect those Varsity players who were already in or being inducted to NHS. No coordination.

Friday night is the semi formal....Mike bought 2 tickets at $16 each and ordered a corsage for his date...not to mention the committment to the girl.....and new dress clothes.....
the basketball coach sets a practice from 6-9 threatening to cut anyone who doesn't show telling them that they need to make a commitemnt to the team...

now.....I ask...what does Mike do? This is making me so angry
If he had known about the practice BEFORE planning on the dance...that would have been one thing but he is already committed to this date...

Keep in mind he left practice last night for the soccer thingie so this will be twice in one week

Also keep in mind that Mike lives to play basketball...it is his sport...he would die if he were cut from the team

These kids should not be put in this position

I didn't know this was going to be a venting post when I started...I just got carried away sorry

Yikes Debbie, that STINKS for Mike! Is a 6-9 practice on a Friday night the norm, or is the coach just "messing" with the kids? Are many of the boys going to the dance? Perhaps they could approach coach and or Athletic Director with the issue? GRRRR what a dilemma. If any of the other boys have dates and they won't excuse them from practice early, I would get all the girls (dressed up) and all the parents to file in to the practice to "wait" for them, and go to the dance late.

Hi MS....still cold at work but I wrote a very creative "Dear Santa" letter to our business admin/"facilites" person saying that I've been very very good this year and want a little space heater for under my desk, or long underwear. He said he liked my approach and I think he's going to get me one (hopefully he meant the space heater ) and I won't have to wait for Xmas for it either!

Hello! It has been snowing all day (&night) here and I really wish I was in WDW!!!! I don't like winter and we NEVER get snow this early. Actually, we don't usually get much snow at all. 'Oh well, it does make it look really Christmasy, w/ the lights aginst the snow and all! Hope everyone has a great night!
