ann...isn't adventurer's club a riot? we LOVE that place!! that's one of the biggest reasons we want to go back! kungaloosh!!

well, the headboard is now in the bedroom...it looks fabulous too!! we need to finish the curtains and it'll be a real bedroom!!! we moved the bed to sit in front of the window and the room looks so much bigger...i can't wait until it's all done!!

we're experiencing a heatwave here...it's 20 degrees outside!! that's 28 degrees warmer than it was at this time yesterday!! but there's supposed to be some snow moving this way...ick...

just out of curiousity...is anyone else considering going to the next DIScon? i think matthew and i are going...well, we're hoping to go anyway...

Deb - I am not much of a football fan at all, prefer baseball but how can a local resist getting excited over our team going to the Superbowl for the first time and winning!!
I have been waiting for us to have a local team in any sport have a good year. Our baseball, hockey and the Orlando basketball teams pretty much suck!

Hope everyone is well. I am going to the Atlanta meet next month, anyone wanna take a road trip there too?

No Debbie, dear I was not at the game. I had to work and we had the TV on there. It is BUC crazy around here!

Gail - yeah I know you have. My Mariners were good though for a while (but they are the Seattle team) but now we (Tampa Devil Rays) have the M's old manager so hopefully things will turn around a little.

I wake up, it's 8 BELOW ZERO,
DD gets out of bed and collapses in a shrieking sobbing heap, which I eventually determined was due to the fact that she ROLLED her freaking ankle again (getting out of bed ?!?!)...........the one that she was JUST beginning to be able to walk pain free on........swelled up like a baseball again and she's home with her ice packs and air cast
and I have to leave work early to take her to the doctor
and I'm not caught up with the work that piled up while I was gone so the piles are growing..........

Well, I gotta give ya'll an "A" for effort...seems like almost everyone posted today ('cept me ), but, you just couldn't get a good ole postin party goin'.

Well, I am here to save the day--I'm off from work tomorrow, so, get your typin' fingers ready.

I'm doin' the housework tonight, so, that I won't have to tear myself away from this thing too much tomorrow.

Bob,Bob,Bob---rub in, why doncha'? It's still cold here, but, with a big warm-up (well--up to 52) this week-end, before more cold comes back in. Hey! I'll take what I can get. Beats those single digit temps with negative wind chills we've been having.

Ann--so sorry about your DD's ankle--again. That poor kid....

Yikes. I almost missed out on the "everybody posting" list.

We made it back safe and sound from our weekend in Kentucky. The drive home was horrible. I swear that the storm followed us all the way from Cincinnati to Cleveland. Other than the drive home, we had the most wonderful time visiting Mammoth Cave. I won't wait another 32 years before going back for another visit. Perhaps a S/D cheerleader meet in the Snowball Room???

For all my brothers and sisters here in the frigid north, stay warm. Winter can't last forever. At least I don't think that it can.

I guess I am a real mean mommy ogre type...........both DH and DD feeling I was "yelling" at them (I SWEAR I never raised my voice...it was my "tone" of frustration and worry and upset that they interpreted as yelling ?!?!) Well, anyway, I'm just feeling overwhlemed by post-vacation -let -down, and the "woe-is-me" unappreciated mom/wife who has to do everything syndrome while no one did anything for me at work while I was out, so I am more behind at work than I was Monday morning.

ANyhoooooooooo.......... after doctor and another X-ray today DD's diagnosis is a severe "RE-sprain".....more crutches, ice and anti-inflammatory meds. To which she did the and said "well I knew that, I don't know why you bothered bringing me to the doctor..........." ... AFTER I juggled schedules at the expense of co-workers and clients to leave early to take her there. Teenagers.........SHEESH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

then eldest DB calls tonite with the latest development with my psycho youngest sister.........

SSB: do you need any HELP at the lemonade stand??? I am ready to pack it in and move south!
