YC vs BWI

I was wondering what was a better choice for the 3rd week in June. Both the Yacht Club and BWI are available. I am leaning toward YC due to newly refurbished rooms and SAB for the kids 8, 6, 6 years respectively. DH seems to really like SAB, but otherwise says whatever makes me happy. If we stay at BWI and my kids see SAB, they will never forgive me!!! Last time were at WDW was in 1996 and stayed at All Stars Sports.

I don't think you can go wrong with either choice, it just depends on what you are looking for. If you really think the pool is a major plus, then definitely go with YC. I don't think you will find a better pool in any other WDW resort. I was in the same position not so long along trying to decide between YC or BWI for our vacation in May. We have two teen sons so the location was what I was looking for, close enough to Epcot for walking and close to the Boardwalk shops/activites. Also MGM is close by, we will be renting a car anyway. We have never stayed at either resort, but my sister has stayed at BWI and loved it. Her family of 5 have decided to go to WDW the same time in May and wanted to try YC this time too. I think SAB was the deciding factor for us plus my husband and sons like the decor of YC a lot. I wouldn't hesitate to stay at BWI. My only worry was that it could be noisy if we had a room facing the Boardwalk itself. I'm a light sleeper and have read that other's say the Boardwalk area can be noisy late into the night especially on Friday and Saturday. Good luck in making your choice, these are both very nice deluxe resorts.

The children will like stromalongbay alot better then BWI's pool.

From reading your post, it definitely seems like you are leaning more towards the YC. The pool, SAB is the best, IMHO, and I'm sure your kids will love it too!

If we had to choose between these two resorts we would choose the YC. We stayed at the BWI at the end of June into the first week of July of 1999. While our view of the quiet pool and our king bed room was very nice we felt that Storm-A-Long Bay at the YC is much better then the main pool at the BWI and we also felt that the overall feel of the BWI was different and not for us. At the BWI there are no places to eat inside of the resort. You have to go onto the boardwalk itself. Even though we knew this before we arrived it ended up bothering us more then we thought it would. For these reasons we would choose the YC over the BWI everytime.

Thank you so much for your quick responses. We are staying at the Yacht Club!!! When I changed our reservations through CRO the reservationist(CM?) was very helpful and agreed that for our family the YC was probably the better choice. We can always walk over to the Boardwalk to enjoy food and entertainment, however, if we stayed at BWI we wouldn't be able to enjoy Stormalong Bay!!!
