YC Room Requests

When making room requests for the YC, does one ask in general with statements like "lakeview, upper floor, facing BW"; or with a specific range of room numbers, such as 3009-3067? What has been the most success for you?

In general, the more precise your request the least likely it will be fulfilled. If you stick to more generic things like "non-smoking", "upper floor", near (or away) elevator you'll have much better luck.

We had a standard room booked and requested:

garden view/lake side

on our reservations. I was at least hoping for a nonparking lot view and we ended up being upgraded to lake view. I'd say that was pretty good luck, especially because we had 3 rooms booked and we were all upgraded.
