YC Concierge rehab info....

I just called the YC and was told that the concierge section will be renovated this May starting on the 28th. I was told they didn't have a date for completion, but it is supose to only be a couple of weeks. I was also told to call back in April to make sure there weren't any changes, as for now it is set for the 28th of May. At first I was happy to get this news b/c I am booked there on May 1-8, but now I'm alittle nervous. If they are doing a rehab, then I don't get to be there after, when it is all new!! I'm not sure what exactly is being rehabed(is that a word??) but the rooms aren't worn out are they?

Desnik, it's interesting that you are saying this, because I called the GM's office this afternoon and the CM said that she thought I was right, but the person who would really know was off today and would be in tomorrow. She is supposed to call me back tomorrow, so I'll post what I hear. If this is true, it's great for me since we'll be checking in on 7/2!!!

What happens to the people who are staying at the YC Concierge during this rehap? We will be there from May 24 to June 1. This doesn't sound good for us. Who can I call?

Sorry it took me so long to reply. rogers803, I would call the YC directly and ask to speak with a manager. The # I called was 407- 934-7000 I'm not sure what they are going to do to accomodate you, maybe switch you over to the BC or I think I heard somewhere they would just set up concierge in another section. I would definately call to find out. Whatever you find out, please post it here, I would love to know what they tell you. Thanks jel0511, did you get any info or a call back?

Sorry I didn't reply either, but no one called me back!!! We ended up changing our plans by one day and couldn't move our YC concierge ressies... We're staying in a LV room though. I do think it's a little weird that concierge is COMPLETELY booked at YC(and no where else on property, I checked) for the 4th of July week, leading me to believe that something is going to be going on that week AND the CM said she thought I was right. Rogers803, I did exactly wiath Desnik did, I called the main number and asked to be connected to the GM's office and a very nice CM was helpful!!!

I wonder if its just the lounge or are they redoing the rooms too. I can't remeber when they did the inside renovation, or have they not done it yet?

I called yesterday and spoke to someone from room assigning.( I think.)
Anyway, she said not to count on the rehab taking place at all. And if it did we would be contacted prior to our check in date. She
also said if the rehab takes place a temp area would be set up for the lounge. I had thought about changing rooms but no discounts for my dates. So I guess I'll keep this room and hope for
the best. Thanks for your replies.
