Our family of 4 are planning July trip to YC, is it worth the extra money to stay conceirge? This is our first time staying near boardwalk. Can we be full from the breakfast offerings? Last trip would spend $30 for breakfast. We drink alot of water, can we stock up on water bottles for each day? Or would it be cheaper to eat from counters along boardwalk? Thank you.

We have always found concierge to be worth the extra money. Usually the difference was around $60/night using discount codes. We may not consume enough to reach the break even point, but I think we get pretty darn close with breakfast, the bottles of water we take to the park, sodas, and snacks we eat throughout the day. The added benefit is the convenience of having the food and drinks available right there near you. It allows us to take shifts getting ready in the morning and we will meet in the lounge. It saves time and allows us to sleep a bit longer in the morning. Also, there is no fast breakfast option at the YC (this is my only complaint about the YC/BC). The pastries at the BW are a delicious option, however. Other bonuses are there will be no need to purchase refillable mugs and the concierge staff are great at getting you last minute reservations. Another factor may be the age of your children. Last summer we brought our 13 year old nephew as a companion for our 9 year old son. I thought our son ate plenty before experiencing the appetite of a 13 year old!

With regards to your specific questions - We were always able to fill up on breakfast. They have several juices, pastries, bagels, fresh fruit, and cereals. You may help yourself to as much as you can eat. Also, you can ask for as many water bottles as you like to take to the parks. It was also nice to stop at the lounge on our way back from the parks for our afternoon break and fill up on snacks and drinks. You can also take the food back to your room.

We've tried several resorts and our favorite is still the YC/BC. The atmosphere, location and pool can't be beat. Have a wonderful vacation!!!

We just returned from a 3 night stay at the BC conceirge as well as a 3 night stay at the BW 1 bedroom villa. We preferred the 1 bedroom villa over conceirge because the eating area was more spacious than the lounge filled with guests or our BC room. Also the conceirge food items were limited in selection compared to what we could order and store in our 1 room villa and we didn't spend much more over the conceirge charge for these items.

We love the YC concerige lounge. It is not as big as the one at the Poly, but the staff seemed much more helpful. We eat breakfast there everyday. It's nice to be able to wander down and eat without having to wait to be served. We aren't big breakfast eaters. None of us want to be faced with a huge plate of eggs and bacon before hitting the parks and the heat (we always go in August).

When I first booked our next trip it wasn't a concierge room. After several weeks, we all decided that our Christmas presents would be to upgrade to the concierge level, which I did. I definetly can't wait for August!

We found the yc concerige staff unfriendly & cold, you have to ask for anything, pop, water, etc... really felt like we were asking for an extra and not what we paid for.

i stayed at the YC concierge in July and again in November. we found the lounge to be wonderful, the breakfast offerings is a very wide variety. they have bagels, 4 different kinds of bread for toast, english muffins, danishes, muffins, donuts (krispy kremes!!!), 4 different cold cereals, instant oatmeal, lots of fresh cut cantelope, honeydew, and pineapple! apples, bananas, oranges too,
cream cheese (reg and fat free!) and assorted jellies.
coffee, tea, milk, juice...
we had the best service at the YC concierge, for us it is awesome, and worth every penny!! :)

concierge is worth the extra money. I stayed in GF and Poly concierge and the difference is very noticeable. Go with the YC concierge.

It is not worth it without a good discount code. We stayed yc conc. last august, but booked it with a code that cost us less than a standard room with a dc discount. Breakfast and wine are the main perks, and they treat you nice. They made all our ps arrangements for us, and were very helpful on everything.

All in all it is not worth $100/night more $, maybe $50.
