Ok well, I figure that this is budget related, sort of…so I’m posting here.

We (myself, DH, DD12 and DS13) had originally planned a trip to Orlando with my DHs brother and his family in August. We were going to visit some of their family and do one day in Magic Kingdom with a 1 day water park options and more ticket. Our family was considering doing 1 day at Universal as well. We’re driving down to save money and staying offsite at a condo in WH where we stayed the last time we went.

This week we found out that DHs brother’s family can’t go now. At first we were bummed because we really wanted to go with them. Then we weren’t sure that we could afford going without them. But, I ran the numbers and different scenarios and it turns out we’ll actually save some money even though we’ll be paying the full amount of the condo!

We’re doing the YES program for both of our kids which we will all attend the class and we got 4 day passes for $572! I’m so psyched about this I just had to tell someone. We’ll eat breakfast at the condo each day, and all meals at the condo on the days we aren’t in the parks which will be a money saver too. All in all, my original budget for going is still higher than the estimated cost of going. So we’re good!

I just had to tell someone how excited I am!

I'm so happy for you!! Will this be your first time ever going to WDW?? edit-never mind me, I just re-read your post and saw that you have gone before LOL

I can understand being bummed about BIL's family not being being able to go. It's real exciting to plan a trip all together. Maybe in the future it will work out.

Thank you!! Yes, we're expecting the heat and humidity. I love it and am looking forward to it. Everyone else will just deal with it because we'll be at Disney and it'll be worth it. :thumbsup2
