Yay For Marching Competitions!

sorry if i might sound super happy but i am. so let you tell me my story why. . .
ok im in colorguard(were the people that spin flags, rifles, and sabres if you didnt know)and today was our first marching competition and we just got our scores about and hour ago so im so happy and proud of the colorguard and band. we got straight 1's(and yes that is good the way they score you in marching season is 3 is the lowest score you can get and 1 is the highest score you can get, so 1's are good) and we placed 8th out of 22 which is really good for our first competition!!! so thats why im so happy and now i cant wait to get back out onto the field and spin! and for any band or colorguard people on the boards you know exactly what im talking about!

WOOT! Congrats! We just had our first competition today as well! we placed 2nd in our division, but we never win this competition, in fact we consider it a curse to win this one.. But we are going to BOA competition this year.. and apparently its HUGE.. so im excited! I think its called BOA now that i think of it 1 of the letters might be wrong LOL anyways i just love marching competitions! They are so blood rushing thrilling fun! Woot Band geeks stick together!

We had our 1st compitition a couple of weeks ago and or next one is next Saturday. We got 1st in our class. We were like 7 points away from going 2 state so hopefully we make it this time!!!

wow all of yalls bands sound more amazing than mine our next competition is are UIL contest on october 21 and if we get straight 1's there we get to go to the alamodome in san antonio, texas and preform. so please pray fous i'll tell you how we do when we compete and get our scores!!!

My friend is in the color guard for our future high school. So, yay color guard! Congrats on your rank!

My middleschool does a band competition every May. We get to go to Great Adventure for the day. Last year we got 1st in our class and superior, the highest rank you can get.​

i want to thank everyone here who gave us a congrats on our competition i told my colorguard friends and they all say thank you were glad we have such support from people all around the world. thanks again guys yall are amazing! you incourage us to strive for 1st at our UIL competition!

Congratulations!! I'm in my marching band's drumline, but if I continue with marching band in college I might join colorguard.

I was at the Collegiate Band Festival in Allentown, PA today and there were some AMAZING marching bands/colorguards there.. U Del, U Mass(all I can say is WOW!), Morgan State!!(they were just awesome!), and West Chester(my sister in in WCU's band.. they are amazing.)... just to name a fewCollege colorguard looks so cool.

My high school doesn't do competitions, but our band isn't comitted enought and our colorguard is only 5 people.. but they do have a lot of fun with what they do(our field show is Beach Boys and they do choreography with beach balls! ).. Anyway - I'm glad to hear you guys did so well!!

Yeah, no one in our band practices... but we're pretty good. XD Last year our big band show was like 60s themed, and it was so fun... we all wore tye-dye and there were bubbles... very fun.
