44% Yankee, which is kind of odd considering none of my responses mentioned the South, and 3/4 of them are from the northeast :confused3

The same thing happened to me. All of my answers were neutral or Chicago/Mid-west/Great Lakes and yet I only came out 39% Yankee. I certainly consider myself a Yankee through and through. I dunno :confused3

I got 98% Dixie!! Guess I'm about as southern as you can get! How do y'all say dog? It's Dawg!

Barely Yankee at 48%. Must be something wrong with the test as I was born and raised in Michigan. How much more north do you want? Of course, I now live in Virginia, so maybe some of the Dixie is rubbing off.. :rotfl:

78% (Dixie). That is a pretty strong Southern score!

Would have been higher, but my most impressionable years were spent in places like New York, Ohio, Connecticutt, and Illinois. But I got back to Texas as soon as I could! :teeth:

I'm 55% Dixie. My DH will be so proud since he was born and raised in the South. :sunny:

81% dixie for me!!! It's so funny to see answers that came up that said southeast or Texas. I definately am a Texan!!

According to the test, 76% Dixie. According to me, 100% Dixie & proud of it! Darn Yankees!

Just 42% Yankee :confused3
I've only lived in the north my whole life. And a lot of my responses said they were things said in the south, but from threads here on the DIS, and lessons in class, in addition from hanging out with kids from all over the country, those were very northern things to say.
Heck I'm from NH, my friend from CT told me this weekend I had a northern accent. Go figure

which is very odd..since I was born and raised and lived in MA for 45 years..lol..only in the last 5 have I been a 'southerner'...lol!

76% Dixie and proud of it! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I transplanted here when I was 12, people can never figure out my accent!

Only 95% Dixie.

My brother is right; I'm starting to put on airs.

When did I git above my raisin' ?

Good point on the Po' Boy, and we often pronounce "aunt" as "aint" :)

:rotfl: I pronounce it that way too!

I grew up in NJ and my score was-

50% (Yankee). Barely into the Yankee category.

32% (Yankee). A definitive Yankee.

Hey youse, I am surprised I didn't get a 0%. Guess a little of this south is rubbing off on me.

68% dixie, born and raised in Alabama. I don't have much of an accent, but do tend to use some of the common southern phrases.
