Yankee Candles

Hi

Is anybody out there in the UK a Yankee Candle fan like me?

We brought some in one of the Mall's in October last year and I have become addicted I have just participated in the YC Exchange on the US Community Board and today I received my exchange from Chelsea&Austinsmom.

She sent me a large Tulip Jar and 14 Everyday Favourites with 2 candle holders She was so generous

There are the fragrances - Home Sweet Home, Sage and Cirtus, Lilac blossom, Clean Cotton, Vanilla Cookie, French Vanilla, Hazelnut coffee, Ocean Water, Seaside Holiday, Mid Summer's Night, Honeydew Melon, Island Mango, Macintosh and Buttercream - wow I am spoiled for choice LOL

I wasn't familiar with this company but I love the smell of vanilla candles ...... and Island Mango sounds good

When you exchange, do you only exchange YC or do you send candles from here?

I'm a Yankee Candle nut myself. Spend entirely too much money on the things. My fav scents are sage and citrus, harvest, and apple. You've got to watch the soot though, kinda messy.

Shirley - when you exchange it has to be Yankee Candles. I found a shop on the Barbican that does a very small range so I picked some up from there. I have now also found a garden centre in Lincolnshire that sells a lovely big range and guess where we are going in May for a wedding - no not the garden centre but Lincolnshire. You might be able to find them in other garden centre's.

Steph - I have that sage and citrus one - can't wait to burn it. I loved the Halloween and Christmas ones last year

I am a Yankee Candle nut. And seeing as I am a real Yankee from Massachusetts my house is filled with these candles.

we have an outlet down the street and I am on a first name basis with the staff.

My favorite is by far Green Grass - smells just like fresh mown lawn but without the allergic reaction.

I like to buy those little car thingies (Yankee Candle) as well. I think they smell so nice, but DH hates them and is always pulling throwing them away when he drives my car.

Oh yes, and I'm happiest when our local TKMaxx gets Yankee Candles in at a discount , although they are very heavy to carry home - but I'm willing to suffer for my Yankees Best candles in the world...

It's real hit and miss as to whether they have any in - you just have to keep checking. Pre-Christmas was great!
