Yesterday I bought a warmer to put under a jar candle. When I burn the Tulips candle, it makes my entire house smell gorgeous! Today I'm trying it on the warmer...one you plug in the wall and set the jar on. It's completely melted, but I'm not smelling anything unless I'm coming back inside the house after going out. :scratchin Anyone else have good luck or bad luck with this as opposed to burning?

Thanks!! <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/12/12_5_2.gif' alt='Candle' border=0></a>

Do you just put the whole glass jar ontop of the warmer, or is it a special jar?
I had placed another order last night with Yankee Candle and can't wait to try the Christmas Cookie. I was thinking of ordering the Trick or treat since it sounds yummy, but passed this time.

The whole glass jar goes on the warmer. And this is the large jar! :(

Hope you like Christmas Cookie. I bought two Christmas Eve votives to try. They smell good without burning. :) And I got a ceramic snowman you put a tealight in on sale for 50% off! Well worth $6 to me.

Just ran downstairs for something. I could smell tulips when I was right next to the candle. :( I want it to make my house smell like it! Think I'll be sticking with burning. I wonder why it does this.

I saw one of these warmers at a Chinese Auction last year at DSs school. I burn YC alot and use the tarts also, but really didn't have an interest in these candle warmers.

Does the warmer actually cause the wax to become liquid?? can you burn the candle later or does the wick get ruined??

I know I have had some candles and tarts that smell so good in the beginning, then I have to leave the room and come back to smell the scent.

I love Yankee Candle scents - Christmas cookie is one of my favorites! But I had a problem with them being sooty (sp ?). I was wondering about the warmers; too bad they don't spread the scent.

I have found that the tin covers (not sure what to call them???) that you can put over the mouth of the jar and still burn the candle keeps the soot down and allows the candle to burn evenly. I heard a "rumor" that YC does not make them or sell them because the do not allow enough of the scent to escape. I usually put one on every other time I light the candle.

Oh-I LOVE Christmas Cookie!!! I wonder of it will be the scent of the month this December??

Karen...I was wondering that myself as it was melting. The entire candle is melted, and the wick is standing just fine. After it cools, I'll try lighting again to make sure it's fine. I'm sure it will be.

DCLuvinit...I love your clipart and avatar! You found those candle to be sooty? :scratchin

Thanks....Yep, I noticed it all around the house, mostly on surfaces like outlet covers, the toilet seat lids, appliances and the garbage can. I stopped burning the candles and it went away.

First, I have to say that I LOVE THE TULIP CANDLE! It's my favorite!! Okay, now I'm okay! LOL I don't have a warmer, but a friend of mine has one and LOVES them!

Wow! :( Wonder if it's from the smoke that comes up. I don't notice too much smoke, but compared to other candles I've used, it does give off some.

HollyJoy...Tulip is my favorite also. :) So pretty!

Well, a little while ago I went to turn off the warmer. Late this afternoon I noticed that the wick was completely submersed in the melted wax. :( I used my wick trimmer to get the wick out, but unless I stand there holding the wick while the candle solidifies, it's not going to be above the wax again. :( So I just tossed the wick. I guess this will be the melting candle  and I'll have to buy a new one to burn. Hmmmmmmmmmm...not a fan of warmers here unless they make the wicks longer!
