Yankee Candle tarts

I broke down and bought a tart burner after years of just burning jars. I am burning a Pineapple Paradise tart now, I can't believe how strong the smell is

How many times can you use the same tart before it loses it's smell?

Depends on the tart (or rather the scent).
Some last a long time, some not very long.
I find most last 4-5 tea lights.
Love my Yankees!!

I agree, depends on the tart. I've used Clean cotton, Green Grass, and buttercream tarts several times. Those last really long.

Do the tarts melt away or just loose the scent??

The tart itself doesn't really burn away...but the scent does.

I am hooked on the YC Tarts!

Just loose their scent. The wax never really disappears, just the oils are consumed. I too get about 3-5 tea lights before changing to a new one.

Don't laugh......we don't have tarts in the UK, I brought some on our last WDW trip and I have been waiting for ages for them to melt. The scent is still strong though

My general rule is two tealights, and then I change my tart! As Dan does, You can probably get away with more, but I like it strong because its in a big room.

I love the Yankee tarts and dont burn regular candles anymore. I think the tarts give off a much stronger scent.
I have a tip to get the tart out of your burner when you want to change the scent. Let the wax harden and then put the burner in the freezer for a few minutes. The tart comes out in one piece.

I LOVE YC tarts!!!!!!! I have Tulip burning right now. I visited a YC store the other day, and they had the most beatiful tart warmer - it is about 8 inches tall and made out of resin. It's of 2 red tulips and their foliage, and hanging off one of the leaves is an upside down tulip (that's where you put the tart.) It is so cool!!!!!

I burn tarts at work and it makes the whole office smell soooooo good! Right now I have cinnamon in the tart warmer and it's making everyone hungry!

I also burn them twice. I'm burning a Seaside Holiday tart that Beanie gave me for Christmas in my bedroom right now. Its got me in the mood for SUMMER! (even though we have 6 inches of that god awful snow on the ground. )

LOL Snoopy, funny you should mention that because I am burning a Harvest in the tart burner you gave me...the driftwood one!!

Tarts are my absolute favorite and I always burn them...I think they have a much stronger scent!!

We have several tart burners in our house, actually I think 6. You can usually get several tea light usages out of one tart.
Also- if after 1 or 2 tea lights you want to switch, instead of throwing it away, we put ours in the freezer and reuse them when we want that scent again. They are still just as strong. I think it sort of preserves them.

There should be a caution in the title of these threads. Lurking on this board got me hooked on Yankee Candle tarts. I had never heard of them before. But mmmmmmm, I do love that cinammin.

It's on its 3rd burning and it still smells, not as strong but good enough
