Yankee Candle Tarts ?

I'm a YC tart newbie. I assumed that the wax would 'disappear' like it does in the candles, but I've been burning my first tart everyday for about two weeks and it doesn't look like it's going away at all. On the package it said it would burn for about 8 hours. I have 7 other scents I would like to try in the tart burner, but I can't until this first one is done. Does it just lose it's scent after a while and you have to take the wax out and throw it away?

Let the wax and burner cool. Put your burner in the freezer for about 20 minutes. The wax will pop right out. Throw it away.

Depending on the scent, the tarts usually keep a scent for about 8 hours.

Yes, the scent will slowly start to disappear.
To take out the old tart from your tart burner, put it in your freezer for about 10 minutes. Then it will pop out and you can just use a new one.

The tarts do last a long time, but you can get them out of your tart burner and save them. Just put the burner in the freezer for a little while, maybe an hour, then take something like a paring knife and run it along the edge of the wax. It should pop right out. I know I get tired of the scent long before it runs out.

Great idea! I don't know why I didn't think of that.

Thanks everyone! Now I won't be waiting forever for the wax to burn away. LOL

A quicker way to remove the old tart - put the burner in upside down under hot running tap water. After about 1 minute, take a spoon and go along the edge....it will pop right out.

I usually burn mine for 3 nights (about 3 hours a night) and then change it out..

I love, love, love the tarts, but I keep buying burners, because I CANNOT for the life of me get the wax out of the burner. I've tried the freezer method--didn't work; I tried cutting it out with a knife--cut myself instead; tried melting it and then ouring it out--spilled it all over my counter. I am a tart dummy! And, I still have tons of them lying around.

I haven't tried the hot water thing yet. I'll have to give that a shot!
