Yak & Yeti without ADR?

Is it usually busy? We're going in November. I know if free dining comes out we'll have to make reservations just about anywhere to get in, but typically is it possible to walk up and get in here? Normally I don't mind being tied to reservation times, but we only have one day in AK and I'm not sure what time we'll be over to that area of the park. We ate at the QS one last time and enjoyed it, but we'd like to try the TS one--but I don't want to tie us to an ADR time on this particular day if I can help it.

Get there right at 11:30 when they open and you shoud be able to get right in.

Join the Landry's Select Club. It costs $25, but you get a $25 credit on your card. It will give you priority seating.

Y&Y is the only WDW restaurant I know of that explicitly holds back some of its seating capacity for walk-up diners. So going near opening will always give you a decent chance.

I can't speak about dinner but we eat lunch there every AK visit. WE eat at the bar and have always walked right in at opening w/o a reservation.

Oh, man... now you guys are making me want to take a gamble on this... I'm with the OP, don't want to commit to an ADR on my AK day, but I should be in that part of the park at 11:30, and I'm just one person. If I'm there at 11:30 and get seated promptly, how long does lunch usually take? (Figure just an entree.) I've got FP+ for the 1 pm Nemo show. (Yes, I know I don't need it.)

I was there on Feb 1st and checked at about 5:00 in the afternoon and got in right away. November is usually not to busy so I think you would be able to do it.

It is 1 place we were able to walk into at 1:30 pm with a group of 7 and be seated immediately - they seem to be able to handle walk-ups better than many other places. And we like don't mind the gamble there as if we can't get in and have to eat CS the food is great right there.
