Yak & Yeti vs. Boma dinner

We'll be staying at WL and my boys still take naps, especially at Disney. I had originally planned Yak & Yeti for an early dinner at AK. I was looking forward to a non-buffet meal.

Now I am second guessing myself. I think seeing AKL would be nice and the food at Boma would be good too. My other concern would be the time to get from WL to AKL using Disney Transportation (I'm guessing an hour.)

What do you suggest?

My wife and I love Boma, especially the Zebra Domes and the Mini Pineapple Cheesecakes for dessert. I'm sure the kids will love Animal Kindgom Lodge, it is beautiful inside. I would think an hour would be plenty of time to get between the two.

I've been to Yak twice and to Boma somewhere between one and two dozen times. On a food scale of 1 to 10, I'd rank Boma at an 8 and Yak at a 3.

We usually stay at an Epcot resort and we often take a cab to AKL. If you are taking Disney transportation, I would think an hour would be a good time budget.

I can do another buffet, if it means better food. (We like early dinner reservations as the food is usually less handled by other guests. KWIM?)

Thinking aloud - I was thinking that we would go back to AK for our dinner at Y&Y after a nap, and then finish an early evening there. Maybe instead we could catch one last show for the evening at AK after Boma. Hmmmm....decisions.

DH and I loved our entrees at Y&Y, drinks were great too! Didnt care for the desserts tho

I will say that meal was a million times better than dinner at Boma, we did not like the heavy hand of vanilla and cinnamon in the foods.

In my opinion Boma is miles ahead of Y&Y as far as the food goes. Y&Y was okay and the atmoshere is good but for the price the food was just Okay. Boma was excellent.
