How is Yak & Yeti counter service? The menu sounds good...just wondering about food quality, how everything tastes. Thanks!

I have not did the CS but we amke It a point to eat In side at the TS. The food Is amazing yummmmmm.Have to try the fred green beans and the chilli sauce,awsome.

We thought the TS was MUCH better. The CS isn't bad, but it's a little like mall food court Chinese. Portions are big though. DD and I shared an entree.

We thought the food was good, although I could not finish even half of my portion as they are so huge! Then I had to keep my desert for later (luckily we were going back to AKL soon after we ate so I put it in the fridge in our room and ate it later in the week.)

I had some sort of lo mein at Y&Y CS last year. It wasn't bad but it wasn't the greatest. Not very flavorful - but as otheres have said - HUGE portions! I'm not a fan of Flame Tree or Pizzafari so I'll be sticking to Y&Y when I need a CS in AK.

There is also a cute little egg roll stand on the path from Africa to Asia that sells great egg rolls for under $2 - if you just need a snack it's perfect.

Now I feel bad I can eat all of mine(at the TS Inside) and the apptizer(but i share the apptizer with my DS) and soup Its one of our favorit.

They have a chicken salad that is delicious. We liked the food there overall.

I actually liked it! For lunch i had an order of pork eggrolls (they come 2 per order) and chicken fried rice. Both were quite big and I really enjoyed them! The only thing I was not super fond of was the sitting area.. it was more like a bird sanctuary.

The Kung Pao Beef was pretty good, but much too hot for my wife.

The Sweet-and-Sour Pork was just average.

We ate at the Flame Tree BBQ in AK on our last visit, and the food was better there.

Servings are huge; taste is edible but not outstanding Chinese take out.

Ok, so it's not the CS food, its the TS....but I had to share my meal from March from Yak & Yeti

This Miso salmon with jasmine rice and veggies was awesome!

I thought the food was very good for the Y & Y counter service. My DW also thought the food was good and she is very pickey about food. She knows good food when she has it. It also is very large portions.
