We love Chinese food here at home.
How is Yak and Yeti ?

Fresh veggies ? Meat not fatty ?

Has anyone enjoyed the following......?
:confused3

Wonton Soup - pork wontons, clear chicken broth and vegetables

Tempura Shrimp - chili plum sauce, coconut-ginger rice, stir fried vegetables

Lo Mein - Lo Mein noodles, carrots, cabbage, green onoins, bean sprouts with chicken

Baby Back Ribs - slow-roasted ribs, hoisin BBQ sauce, chicken fried rice, sweet chili slaw

Crispy Honey Chicken - tempura chicken, broccoli, carrots, honey sauce

Stir-Fried Beef and Broccoli - flank steak, broccoli, brown sauce

Sweet and Sour Chicken - Tempura chicken, ginger, garlic, bell peppers, pineapple

I had the ribs when we went to Y&Y in June...they were awesome! Super tender and flavorful and the chicken fried rice was inhaled by DH.....

We had a very good meal there last June. This was my quick review in my June Trip report:

Dinner at Yak & Yeti:
DH & I started with cocktails from the bar. I don't remember what it was called, but it was very very good : At the table we started with the Dim Sum basket. It was pretty good, with somethings that I've never tried before.
DH had the Duck with Anandapur glaze--this was very good
I had the Crispy Honey Chicken--it was good. The tempura coating on the chicken was the best I've ever had! The honey sauce was allright, not as good as I expected but still good.
DD had the Shaoxing Steak & Shrimp--Wow! The skirt steak was incredible (I only got a tiny bite) so tender! The shrimp were very good as well
DS was not feeling very adventourus at this point, so he had the mini burger from the kids menu. It seemed to be a pretty good burger.

My DD age 26 and I were there in October for lunch and LOVED it...one of our best meals. We were on the DxDP. The appetizers were great...we had the deep fried green beans which I ordered because of reviews I had read and I was not dissapointed. We also had the pot stickers..again very tasty.

Our entrees were the ribs (very good) and the Lo Mein - DD thought it was best Lo Mein ever.....I highly recommend Yak and Yeti. I do not remeber ANY fatty meat and I would 'cause I can't stand fatty meat!

Service was great but a little rushed...server wanted to take our appetizer and entree at same time....

I'll be the dissenting voice. We have been twice and did not care for it either time. The first time I had the sweet/sour chicken, not impressed. Second time, DH and I had fried green beans for appetizer and then he had the ribs and I had the lo mein. The green beans were okay but I think the ones at PF Changs are so much better. DH thought the ribs were okay and I absolutely hated the lo mein, could not eat it.

The portions here are huge though, I'll give them that.

My whole family and I thought it was terrible. It was very generic - and no better than what we can pick up at our local grocery store at home...the tempura shrimp were soggy, the rice was lukewarm...the beef and brocolli was horrendous...very packed with MSG and kind of slimy...we were super dissapointed with everything that we ate! And with a family of 5 you'd think that at least some of the entrees would be good....

We were just there 2 weeks ago - it was pretty good. The dim sum was blah - but I got the Steak and Shrimp and loved it. The vegetables on the plate were just fantastic IMO. DH got the chicken Lo Mein and that was great as well.

Hmm, I just looked at my booklet printout from Disney and it ISN"T on there, but when we went in Oct it was...I will have to call and ask...
Okay, Checked again..I had quickly looked at booklet and looked at Animal Kingdom Lodge restaurants instead of Animal Kingdom:laughing:

Yak and Yeti IS on DDP....phew...I was thinking I would have to change all my plans again!

I had the Lo Mein in August and it was great. The appetizers were yummy and the dessert was delicious. I can't wait to go back on my next trip and I think you will definitely enjoy it!

Thank you to all the reviews - pros and cons and special thanks to KatMark on the pictures and congrats on your 25th (the reason we go in 2010 - our 25th too).

I'd love to read more reviews, if anyone else has one.

Thank you to all ! :thumbsup2

We were VERY happy with the Beef & Broccoli and Sweet & Sour Chicken in December. DH and I each got one and we shared. :thumbsup2

Is that not the standard? Where we live in the NY/NJ area, that's what they pretty much do at all restaurants unless maybe it's a huge party (10+). Otherwise we always order the appetizers and main course at the same time.

Of course it's only a problem if they BRING them at the same time! Now that's being rushed. They should still give you enough time to be finished with the apps before bringing the main course. :)

Sorry, I wasn't very clear...we usually order drink's first, then when drinks are delivered order app and entree....he wanted to know our drink, app, main AND dessert orders all at once.....we felt rushed by that so said we haven't decided yet bring us drinks and when he came back ordered app and entree..said we will wait and see if we have room for dessert.....I am not sure if he wanted everything ordered at once 'cause we were on DxDP or just because he was busy....

However once we slowed him down:rolleyes1 he was great! ...and items came out one at a time;)

i LOVED the steak and shrimp I had.

Also, i think the best part was def the desserts. I had a mango pie or something? can't remember exactly but it was DEEEELISH!

We LOOOOOOVE Yak & Yeti! This March will be our 3rd visit there in under a year and a half! :thumbsup2

The Crispy Honey Chicken is my favorite and my mouth waters when I think about it. Also, although it wasn't on your list, we find the Pot Stickers to be AMAZING! The dipping sauce that comes with them is to die for as well. Oh, and their egg rolls are delicious! ENJOY!!!!!!!

We've only been once, and I have no complaints, except it was a bit heavy for lunch fare.

I ordered the ribs, and a side order of fries. They were meaty, tender, and I even liked the sauce (I live in Memphis and eat ribs 2-3 times per week, so I can appreciate a good tender, fall off the bone rib.)

DH ordered the crispy honey chicken, and said it was good, but not outstanding. Typical of what he would order from a chinese delivery place for lunch. I tried it and agreed.

We wished we had just split my ribs...they were that good.

We split the brownie sundae for dessert, and it was divine...you can't screw up chocolate, ice cream, brownies, and whipped cream no matter what, especially on a hot day.
