we booked yak and yeti 5:00 dinner for the wed of our trip in nov. now looking at doing a Boma 8:50 am breakfast that day and skipping dinner sit down and doing QS instead? We will also be at AK on sat before we fly home. Any thoughts? We are stsu By at AKL and it's 2 kids age 5/8 and 3 adults, the 1 adult will not be going to AK for the day wed and we wanted to eat a meal with them hence the change. The 8yo loves chicken fried rice and the adults love what we see on the menu at yak sit down....maybe try for a lunch sit down that sat??

I'm a little confused about what exactly you are asking. I will tell you that we really like Yak and Yeti (inside the table service restaurant), and find the Yak and Yeti Local Food Cafe to be just ok. I would definitely choose the table service option if it fits in your schedule and budget.

Y&Y sit down is amazing!! We spent two weeks on DDP and that was one of the highlight meals. We ate there again on our last day :)

Ok so the 3rd adult that is not going to AK said they don't want to do Boma for breakfast and now we are meeting up another day for chefs de France for dinner lol. so I guess my question is should we do yak sit down or is yak QS. Just as good? From the replays so far I think we will keep our yak sit down at 5:00 and just enjoy and decompress instead of doing a QS.

I've done their QS twice and really enjoy it. I've never done their sit down.

If your budget allows it, Y&Y table service. Great food, great atmosphere. And the Y&Y QS seating is all outside, which might not be an issue in Nov, but could affect your meal if it's cold or raining. We love them both so probably can't go wrong, but I would pick Y&Y TS in a heartbeat!

The table service is really good. I love their Korean Beef. I would choose the sit down over qs, but it depends on your budget.

If you decide to go to the table service, I recommend the dragon roll appetizer. Best sushi roll I've had on Disney property.

Counter service is like below-average Chinese food. Sit down is decent asian-inspired food, though not amazing. But we like the theming inside... a lot.

The sit down table service was fantastic. I had the steak and shrimp and it was delicious. Very nice flavor.

Had both
While the QS is good, we loved the table service meals. There's a lot more variety as well.

We always eat at yak &yeti table service for every trip. We really enjoy the atmosphere and the food. We usually do lunch early and get to sit upstairs by the windows which is a great location. We love the spicy shrimp appetizer and we also liked the wings, which I think they have removed from the menu. We are going to have some unhappy people for this November trip when they see no wings. But we do love their food and have not had a bad meal here.

Most definitely do the table service. Its one of our favorite meals on property. If you do end up doing Boma and aren't that hungry you can always just share some appetizers, which are my favorite part of their menu.

Also if you don't already have a Landry's card you may want to consider signing up. It costs $25, but you automatically get a $25 award put right back on the card. You also get $25 each year on your birthday which you could conveniently say is happening during your trip so that would be $50 for $25. Plus with the card you don't even need a reservation and just show it at check-in to get seated right away.

We have done both several times. My kids do prefer the quick service. Mainly because my son thinks it's great to get sweet and sour chicken and fries. I found the food ok. It's quick.
The sit down is my personal choice. Last trip We had one of the first adrs for lunch. We were immediately seated upstairs by the window. So relaxing and a great 'people watching' location. The food was very good. We started with the combo appetizer (not sure if that still available). Kids had the lo mein, dh and I had the Kobe burger (very good although it was very rich... we both said next time we'd just split it) ... all in all it depends on who's going, their palates, time, and budget. In the beginning of our trip we'd pick quick service. Toward the end, when we aren't in a rush, we'd pick table service.

Y&Y table service is the only meal my DF requests when I make our ADRs. We love it and even the kids enjoy eating there.
I'd personally keep the table service if you can.
